Re: W&L 2024
It was such a great environment. People in the area seemed to really rally around this small mountain college as it took on some of the sport’s most mainstream brands. It’s unfortunate, but I don’t see any small colleges being able to garner crowds like that in any sport in this day and age. Kids d...

Re: Cornell 2024
I had the good fortune to be at the game today. It would be great if Cornell could play a game on LI every season. Just a great atmosphere before the game in the parking lot and in a standing room only stadium. The stands were packed and there were spectators on the grass behind both goals. Just a ...

Re: NCAC 2023
2018 NCAC had 12 AA including first team (Hamblett, OWU), second team (Pittroff, Denison), and third team (Leyden, OWU) plus 9 HM. All the AA's were from OWU and Denison, but those teams were loaded that year. If I remember correctly Peter Hamblett was also DPOY that year as SSDM.

Re: CNU 2023
Fan without a dog in the fight here. Unfortunately for CNU, Sunday's game was lost on Saturday. The Sea Gulls didn't have an easy game, but CNU had to expend a lot more energy to subdue Dickinson. I have seen a lot of lacrosse, but not many games more frantic than CNU vs Dickinson. Bouncing back fro...

Re: W&L 2023
I saw most of the game (arrived during 2nd quarter). My recollection is most of FO's being won by the SU FOGO to himself. I do not remember seeing W&L double pole the wings or put a pole on the FO, but I could have missed that. I did think W&Ls goalie played very strong in the second half an...

Re: Georgetown vs Virginia in Qrtrs
If exams are over, seems like no reason not to get there early. I wonder if NCAA picks up that extra night of lodging though.

Re: Princeton at Penn Stare
Momentum with Penn State. Tie game. Princeton needs to turn the tide, but PSU keeps winning face-offs. Zone is problematic. Anybody else find it strange the announcers didn't seem to notice Penn State had changed to zone in the second quarter? Somebody must have said something to them at halftime b...

Re: W&L 2023
Salisbury has been known to look ahead and come out flat in the quarters. Generals need to be ready to pounce, hang on through the counterpunch and come up with plays down the stretch.

Re: NCAC 2023
Seems like NCAA did not let geography override fairness this year. In the past when 2 teams from NCAC get in there has been a "midwest regional" culminating in a NCAC 1 vs 2 rematch. They could have done that again with Denison, Kenyon, Lake Forest, John Carrol, Ill Wesleyan, and Aurora. I...

Re: NCAC 2023
In 2018 Denison won the AQ. OWU had a strong season that included a win over Salisbury. Does Denison have that kind of resume? If not, NCAC looks like a one bid conference even if Denison loses in the conference tourney.

Re: 2023 Preseason Inside Lacrosse Media Poll
Not sure how a team that lost 63% of its goals should be #2. Right now, I think the Terps are overrated. Means nothing, but they gotta be the least proven offense in the top 10 Because they've missed two final fours since 2011. They've lose players before. They're Alabama football. Top 5 until they...

Re: Rule changes
Glad to see they fixed the crease rule before somebody got killed by a d-man trying to knock him into the goal mouth and get the goal wiped out. On IL website they have the video of the disallowed goal in the Penn-Rutgers quarterfinal. In that case, the ball was in the net before the d-man crosschec...

Re: Maryland 2022 National Champions
Maryland fans should be bowing down to Mcananey right now because he's the only reason their over rated "greatest team of all time" didn't get beat. Came in expecting to face a juggernaut, not a team incapable of scoring in 6v6 situations except for a small handful of long range snipes, 1...
