Re: 2021 National Championship UVA vs UMD

Back to work today and there are alot of folks talking about the game that have never watched a game before. There has been alot of local news coverage on a Maryland player and a few D2 and 3 guys and gals. They are l like I never watched the game before but that was truly a exciting game. Hardened ...

Re: 2021 National Championship UVA vs UMD

The one that got me was when Schellenberger hit the pipe midway through the 4th and it bounced right back to him for a fresh shot clock, which they then promptly ran down and scored to boot. I believe that made it 16-11. Bounces like that make you realize it’s just not your day. [/quote] Actually th...

Mr3Putt wrote: Fri May 21, 2021 4:23 am Anyone mention Mcananey the goalie for Maryland? 3 of the last 4 games he is aprox at 42%. The Michigan game he was at 53%. So for the last month that’s pretty low save percentage. What cool whip are you putting on this stat ?

Re: Maryland 2021

Going to need a much better performance from McNaney next weekend The way Maryland played defense today...totally erasing UVM's attack unit...all McNaney has to do is get to 50%. Right but he was well below 50%, wasn’t he? 43% but also he only faced 14 shots so like 2 more saves and he’s above 50. ...

Re: ACC 2021

My all-acc Attack: Gray, Sowers, Kavanaugh Midfield: Perry, Dordevic, Shellenberger would have gone with Montgomery over Dordevic if he didn't completely disappear for long stretches, especially in conference games. Perry leads the loaded UNC midfield in points. LSM: Conners FO: Naso toss-up betwee...

Re: UNC v Syracuse

UNC is 2-1 on the road ( 7 home games ). Your getting them out of there comfort zone on the road at the Dome. Both teams defenses are being questioned. UNC gives up 11, Syracuse gives up 12 goals a game. Carolina gave up 18 goals vs Va on 33 shots on goal. Kreig the Freshman made 15 saves last week...

Re: Maryland 2021

Having had a son as a goalie I always tend to look at save percentage. According to the stat sheet there were 6 saves and 9 goals scored ... that would put the save percentage at 40%. Yup that's pretty good math and just one stat that coaches use to rate their goalie. All American 2nd team last yea...

Re: Maryland 2021

Opinions are like you know. Easy saves may look easy to the laymans eye. But maybe good goalies make good shot saves look easy. Either way he got beat low and inside on well placed shots and maybe should of saved a couple of those. I guess we expect more out of a Maryland goalie? Either way give yo...

Re: Maryland 2021

Fun start! 11 guys with a goal, 13 guys with points, 28 contributors overall on the stat sheet. And it didn’t even feel like they ever took it out of 1st gear. Thoughts - Offense looked awesome. Settled in at 36% efficient which is a strong say but they were at 39% after 3 which’s put you in the To...

Re: Maryland 2020

sounds like he was also the beneficiary of opportunity. Another plus for Maltz is that he is tall and rangy, listed at 6'2". It is hard to know at this point, who was the beneficiary of Long being out, Brennan or Maltz. Long was back playing and had a goal and an assist. But in the end, Brenna...

Re: Maryland 2020

I think you missed the soapbox lectures on why Tillman is a horrible person for accepting a recruitable player who could make his team better, while other extremely competitive Division 1 coaches would never breach the sanctity of the game by taking a transfer. I did miss that and an excellent poin...

Re: Maryland 2020

Really dont know who will start next year all 4 have impressive resumes but I am going to go with the goalie that leads the defence is a hard worker shows improvement during the grind is a great locker room guy and that can bring the extra stuff on the field. The extra stuff that goalies dont normal...

Re: Maryland 2020

If anyone thinks that Mcnaney thought he would redshirt or thinks he is willing to redshirt is crazy. And he isn’t old for his graduating class in the lacrosse world now a days but did reclassify. Which actually seems to be the norm and a lacrosse players redshirt year. This kid probably thinks he ...

Re: U-19 tryouts

Well, I can't speak for the OSU bound goalie (though I would have taken the Salisbury kid bound for UMD after watching the UA game where he was awesome and the OSU kid was eh). Having said that, I wouldn't frown upon Snyder and the Mitchell twins being on the team, it's well deserved for all three ...

Re: Under Armour All American game

Edward is heading to UPENN Thanks. In the UA bio it says he will major in business at Yale. Not sure that’s a major there. They say Arnold is injured and won't play. Kenny Brower is also injured. It looks like there are 24 players on the North squad. I think the new additions are Scott Boland and G...

Ya I think Bullis coach said they had 17 days without a game until this week. Salisbury ended their season last Wednesday had to take some finals and sleep in a hotel bed add that they played the late game last night and the result an ass whooping. Even with that I would expect they could pass and c...
