Re: With Scholarship Limits Ending, Who Makes a Push in the Next 3-4 Years?
All colleges have agreed to the NCAA terms that they pay a percentage (in the case of the Power Conferences above 20MM/year) to athletes. No one yet knows the effects. Moreover, in the Dartmouth Basketball case (no on appeal), the courts ruled that athletes are employees of Dartmouth. What this cou...

Hearing BC taking a grad midfielder from Penn.uncfan1013 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2024 5:27 pm I think NW will have good activity but BC will lay low and maybe get a defender. They are getting 4 great recruits for the offense and return some good players. Don’t think they need much portal activity

Re: Teams that will suffer important loss of seniors for next season
You need to look beyond BC attack. BC losses 8 starters, 4 of which are AA. Martello could/should have been 5th AA. Lots of shoes to fill. Like many teams, they have lost a lot of talent . But, at least offensively, no other team has the returning offensive firepower that they do. Returner Mckenna ...

Re: Teams that will suffer important loss of seniors for next season
The top programs will be looking hard at the transfer portal. Just so many high level players leaving the sport. It's basically the 2020 and 2019 high school graduates leaving in 1 year. A large % of the high level 2019's used that extra year as well as a few top 2018's. It all added up to a big nu...

Here's a different list, its a big list - several less spotlighted players that caught my eye. https://fanlax.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=552426#p552426 ______________________________________ Thanks for sharing. The Women also have a Transfer Portal thread, but mostly speculation. If you have, could ...

Re: Coaches On The Hot Seat 2024
I think Danowski has earned the right to leave (retire) when he wants to leave. I don't see him being fired from Duke ever when he lifted that program from the ashes. Plus, since his last title in 2014, he had his team in the tournament 8 of 9 years. In the last 6 seasons, he has four final four ap...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2024
Towson? This was her first year there? Little early for talk of change, no? Indeed. She should have a long leash I would think. Was just surprised from previous post regarding the negative comments. In general, curious as to how coaching landscape unfolds. Does Spallina stay at SB? Or does he look ...

Does Towson make a change? What other teams could make a change? What teams should make a change?Oldfashion32 wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2024 1:07 pm Just checked out the 2aday website. I was surprised to read the negative reviews about Kristin Carr at Towson. Granted, it might just be a unhappy recent graduate, but she came in highly touted.

Re: WLAX Bracketology
Hmm. In the history of the NCAA tournament. Duke this year at 31 RPI and PSU last year at 32 are the lowest to ever make the tournament. I’ve been saying for a month. Don’t discredit that factor. The Ole Girl network saved Missy last year and tried to save Kimel this year. It was written. Save job?...

Based on a comment above. I did this without teams RPI listed so that people didnt go chalk based on RPI. Pick 2 teams to enter the tournament! Team A: Record:10-5 SOS: 26 Worst Loss: #28 Best Win: #25 Notes: Lost to Team B by 1 Team B: Team Record: 10-4 SOS: 50 Worst Loss: #15 Notes: Beat Team A b...

Last year, in a bit of a surprise, UVA made a coaching change. Any rumblings of similar surprises out there this year?
