Re: Penn State
PSU graduate - Quinn Nicolai - looks very good for Temple and has been named a captain. A grad transfer to Temple, Nicolai could have stayed at PSU for this season, but left. I think that and other transfers out of PSU speak volumes about the coaching staff.

Re: Ivy League
Ivy League is heading down an unfortunate, disheartening and misguided path . . . Princeton and Cornell have moved classes online and cancelled some sporting events: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/education/2021/12/15/cornell-university-online-suspects-covid-omicron/8905152002/ https://www.syra...

Anne Murray - Associate HC at Fairfield - named new women's lacrosse head coach at Columbia. While long overdue, Murray appears to be a good hire.

Re: Ivy League
An example of the low priority that the Ivies place on athletics, particularly women's athletics, is the fact that the Columbia HC position has been open since Andrea Cofrin's "resignation" on March 9, 2020. A number of women's D1 lacrosse programs have had resignations/firings followed by...

I'm sure this has been answered, but why aren't the Big 10 men's team playing opponents in back-to-back games over the same weekend the way that the women's team are?

Ivy League Cancels 2021 spring sports
Unfortunate, but not a surprise. Ivy League cancels all conference competition and leaves very small window open for out of conference competition https://www.uslaxmagazine.com/college/men/report-ivy-league-cancels-all-springs-sports Even if an Ivy League school were permitted to have out of confere...

Re: Spring Cancellations
Ivy League just informed its student athletes that Ivies will not compete in any winter sports, fall sports will not be made up in the spring, and spring sports (i.e. lacrosse) are postponed until at least the end of February 2021

Dr Tact - I think PANJlacrosse is looking to start a debate (war?) He/she clearly has an issue with a certain club team.

Things are not looking good for the Ivy League. Re: Transfer Portal
That being said, if any current spring sport Ivy League student can graduate this year or in the next three years, and then transfer to another school for a graduate year with athletic money - that would make sense.

Re: Transfer Portal
With no athletic scholarship money, I have a hard time believing that many (if any) spring Ivy League athletes would take advantage of another year of eligibility, if available. Fall sports are completely different. For those Ivy athletes that currently do an extra year (bc of a medical redshirt) th...

I know a lot is going on today, but I was very surprised to see Virginia Tech lose to Brown 13-11. Did not see the game. If anyone did, I'd be interested in observations/analysis.
