Re: Games Today
The Ivy League (except Penn) highly underrated at the beginning of the season as opposed to overrated teams such as Army, Clemson, USC, Penn State, UConn, UMass, Duke, and Albany.

Re: Games Today
Several of the Ivy league coaches seem to know what they are doing. Will see if the upwards trajectories continue.

Re: Polls
How can you have Princeton ahead of Yale when they beat them last weekend as well as the last three times they have played each other? That is just living in the past. And Navy should drop back more after the loss to Drexel. USC hasn't really done anything but they stay the course.

Re: Games Today
Wow what an ugly win. Who would have thought that Duke would struggle against Pitt? Kudos to Pitt for playing a solid game and staying in it. The Duke coach is certainly known for favoring taller stronger players but that is not working in their favor. Will be interesting if their 2026 recruiting su...

Re: Games Today
USC has a surprisingly weak schedule and looked good in the beginning when a win against Army seemed like something. Now, not so much. How do they stay in top 20? I am hoping Colorado takes down USC and Stanford in their division this year.

Re: Polls
Clearly there is a deep divide between the first and the 25th teams but a pretty interesting breakdown in total for the top 25 this week:
ACC 8 teams
Big 10 5 teams
Ivies 5 teams
Patriot 2 teams
Pac 12 2 teams
Big East 1 team
Atlantic 1 team
CCA 1 team

Re: Games Today
How can Hopkins stay so highly ranked after losing to Penn and only beating Gtown by 1?

Re: Stanford Player Gets Red Card for Hit
What I think is also interesting is that sportsmanship being paramount, players also know their coaches. And this player was a red shirt freshman who had been around her coach for several semesters. You know what is acceptable and unacceptable both off and on the field and no one wants to get in the...

Re: Stanford Player Gets Red Card for Hit
Please don't try to excuse the behavior. Everyone at the game knew the goalie had the ball. You were not there. Just look at her body language walking away after the hit. She got a green and a red card in the last few minutes of the game. First she made a cheap shot at the defender in transition cau...

Re: Stanford Player Gets Red Card for Hit
I was at the game and believe this does deserve its own thread. The hit was ridiculous. It was against a very good offensive Yale player who had just completed a very good game on both draw controls and points. She had clearly given the ball to the goalie which the other player could see. And if you...

Re: UNC 2024 Injuries
So did she do four years at UNC and then commit to a grad year at USC and then decommit before even playing in a game (did she go there and practice?) and is now taking a year off to do a grad year at UNC next year at, say. 24 or 25 years old?

Re: Games Today
Duke overrated as always, proven today. Great game by Navy without their best offensive weapon.
USC nice win over Army both teams looked tough. Where is Nicole Humphrey?
Surprised UVA didn't have a bigger margin over Liberty, seemed to have starters in all game.
BC; is Clarke injured?

Re: US Lax Magazine Preseason Rankings
Hard to imagine another situation where a team lost twice but was then ranked higher than the team that beat them unless they had significant transfers to bolster the roster for the coming year, and I think Penn was the only Ivy to pursue transfers for the coming season?

Re: US Lax Magazine Preseason Rankings
And then there is also Yale. They beat Army, Duke and Princeton last season and lost by 1 to Penn in the tournament finals, returning most of their starters.
