Re: Recruiting
So why did so many coaches turn down Ohio State? The pay was probably excellent.

Re: Recruiting
Agreed on the financial aid piece. The rep that they are a lot more expensive is just inaccurate in our experience. You're definitely right. Northwestern is the most expensive college in the nation, with Boston College not far behind. I can't imagine have even 50% of that debt per year waiting on m...

Re: Recruiting
Going to need 1400 or above for Ivy. I know that all Ivies are not created equal when it comes to the academic admission bar. The bar is definitely different for each Ivy. I'm not sure if the bar is varied by athlete within one ivy, where more desirable athletes are allowed a lower test score. Harv...

Re: Recruiting
Not sure why so many people put stock into Star recruits. Many really good players are not rated. Anyone can pay inside lacrosse to review a video and rate them. Otherwise if a kid did not go to Best in Class or the IL events then they will not be rated. If we're going off of Inside Lacrosse rankin...

Re: Recruiting
Florida seems like the new hot spot. There are so many positives to going there, next year it is going to be a very attractive spot for 27s.The $ is definitely good. Who doesn’t want to live in Flordia? Also, that is a place where top recruits can go and know that they will get playing time. School...

For parents of recruits: -Not all "full" offers are the same -Some full offers only cover tuition -Some full offers cover tuition, fees, housing, and meal plans -Some even include stipends -Some coaches are going to promise NIL or revenue sharing. Don't count on it for every coach. -Pay at...

And underrated. I feel like the southern players aren't getting the love in the rankings.Kleizaster wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 9:53 pm One thing that's becoming clear is the talent coming out of the South. Not really talked about due to the lack of super stars but quietly increasing each year.

Re: Recruiting
How would Coach Levy do with Denver's recruiting class? Or Loyola's? An earlier comment about the best goalie in the class - says who? Rankings are so subjective and only focus on the players available to the ranking service. It is such an inexact science that can't possibly cover the entire landsc...

USF has a tall girl, I think. Not sure what her name is.Kleizaster wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 2:50 pm Penn State got a commit from a giant, 6ft tall attacker from Georgia. Has there ever been an attacker that tall in women's lacrosse? can't recall. Will almost certainly convert to a draw specialist/middie in college

Re: Recruiting
Totally agree.. They could tier it with contact day and then onsite visit days start. Could even allow prospect camps to occur in-between the dates to actually work with kids and talk with them more. There has to be a better way. Are you asking the leadership of the sport that's proven absolutely z...

Re: Recruiting
:) Anyone have any insight if the Ivies tend to more slower in recruiting girls? Define “move slower” Our experience was they reached out on 9/1 like everyone else, and visit was same timeline (within 2 weeks). Ivies reach out aggressively on 9/1. If anything, they move faster than many since they a...

Re: Recruiting
Sorry, they didn't lose any 2025 commits to FSU. However, if they were to lose potential commits to FSU then that is a huge problem. It's bad enough they lost the 2025 commits to Clemson and who knows how many future commits to Clemson as well. Of all the top programs, it seems right now Syracuse c...

Re: Recruiting
Parents -- if you and your daughter want a great indication of the TRUE nature of a coaching staff, make sure you speak to ta sample of players (and parents) that get no playing time. That will tell you everything you need to know. Geez at the stories we've heard! Some of these girls are treated hor...

Re: Recruiting
Once FSU and Clemson leave- UNC and UVA are probably out the door and the Big12 are probably taking 4 more. So it will be a shell of what we know as the ACC. What conference wants FSU? Miami and UNC much more likely to leave than FSU. You're kidding right? Even when FSU is down, their football team...

Re: Recruiting
Agree on everything except one point. What's wrong with Clemson's academic reputation? It's a #43 public school in the nation, ahead of schools like USF, Rutgers, Oregon, Colorado, George Mason, both Arizona schools, JMU, etc. Not to mention, I've heard their Career Center is always rated the best ...

Re: Recruiting
Hearing some rumblings that Clemson is a major player for a top 2026. interesting..this recruiting cycle will be fascinating. I was curious to see how clemson would follow up a stellar 2025 class. I said if 2026 was on par with 2025 they would be a top 20 program by year 3 or 4. On the field they w...
