Re: RIT vs Tufts

I'm not going to say the current vote count so as not to influence other voters but 11 have voted and... Interesting.

Re: DIII TRANSFERS

Transfers used to be some kid from MD feels like he's not getting a fair shot at SU so he transfers to UMD. Which became a kid from LI plays for 3 years at BU, tears it up, and then transfers to UNC for his senior year to see if he can win a national c'ship. Today it's a far cry from these two scena...

Re: DIII TRANSFERS

Most certainly not... That's helpful. Thanks. I do have to say, watching JHU stay alive with a 5th year AA in goal (who happened to play at the same school that the current head coach used to coach at) felt a little strange. Similar, watching two Princeton transfers help SU a LOT. I dunno. All's fa...

Re: DIII TRANSFERS

Pre-Covid, correct me if I'm wrong, we didn't have the volume of transfers in NCAA lacrosse like we have now, right? It's like Zoom calls and transfers skyrocketed.

His stats were 0 points, 2 shots, 3 turnovers, 4 GBs. You're right. Not invisible but visible in the wrong ways.

... Carter Rice was very very good this year... rice stood out and not because he's great but because he's a decent-sized body with good (not great) legs. Just struck me as strange. You need to throw an IMO in there because I certainly don't agree with that. Rice stood out because he's good and ver...

FanLax NCAA Press Passes/Credentials

I've thought about this numerous times over the years but, for whatever reason, haven't posted the idea. Why don't we have post-ers at games in the Press Box? We have threads for individual games. Why not have a post-er and/or post-ers at the game in the press box discussing the relevant game? Does ...

Re: Derogatory Posts

To bring this to life, it's not uncommon for us to get messages, e-mails from people saying, There's a post that isn't true! And, on more than one occasion we've received messages, e-mails from coaches, on more than one occasion from head coaches of prominent programs saying, There's a post that isn...

Re: QF #4 Syracuse vs #5 Denver Sunday @ noon

Two things I noticed yesterday about SU: 1- Spallina was frequently invisible. Seemed like he spent much of the game behind the cage backing up shots. Struck me as strange. Contrast that with Shellenberger and Millon taking turns grabbing the mic during the UVA game. Very different. 2- The SU d-mids...

Other piece that I find interesting is that UVA likes physically big kids. They seemingly get to pick and choose who they ant on their squad and they want big, skillful athletes. Makes sense to me...

Re: 2025 Draft

After watching yesterdays NCAA games, I'm reminded that a team's D, specifically, a team's goalie (and team's F/O guy) makes a huge difference. Much like our Team Ds. Seems unfair that one position is so important but the fact remains, it's important.

Right. I hear you. He isn't the *best* recruiter. That very well may be true. I do have to say. Watching UVA yesterday, they have a LOT of talent.

Why do you say that? I'd argue that the best recruiters get the best talent and he undeniably gets some pretty top notch talent.

I was impressed by how both took the microphone at any given moment but neither did it selfishly. That's a skill. Be...

Re: UVA 2024

From where I'm sitting, what JHU and SU were missing (and Denver as well for that matter) is a player that'll consistently ignite the offense. Strange to watch Joey Spallina stand behind the cage backing up shots all game. UVA, on the other hand, has two: Shellenberger and Millon. Two unique players.

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30

UVA has a LOT of talent. Especially on the O side of the ball. JHU has talent... that finishes the play.
