Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
I am trying to get an answer from anyone who might actually know. 1. Are players who are not among the 32 playing in a tournament game paying for their own hotels, meals and travel while other players have the NCAA pay? Are they not on the same bus? 2. Is this a recent change in the last decade? Th...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
NCAA pays for a travel party of 50, limits bench area to 50 including coaches, medical, administrator, limits roster of eligible players to enter the game to 32. I think the intent of the 32 is so a 80 roster team doesn't put in their 4th teamers in the 2nd half to try and make the Sunday games more...

Re: 2024 Pool C
LL_insider - I just struggle to see a committee of human beings taking Swat over the team that just knocked them out of their conference tourney, especially if they weigh that more. If it were a computer selection like next year, could absolutely see it. But I think you're dead on that it's a coin f...

Re: 2024 Pool C
Not sure how Denison would get a host site over grove city. They have similar losses, similar wins, and GC beat york who beat Denison. Could see W&L hosting over both of them though, but there are a bunch of Midwest conferences that have to go somewhere and can't think the committee will be payi...

Re: 2024 Pool C
I'm taking a stab at who would be in the final regional rankings but it might be 4-5 - I was off on Stevenson and unfortunately for Gettysburg york faltered. Lynchburg Salisbury W&L Denison Amherst Swat Dickinson Swat Think Stevenson will get in there. But now that I relook I do think that they ...

Re: 2024 Pool C
Bullets: 5-5 vs RRO's , 2 unranked losses, 1 avenged in the tournament, with york faltering maybe only 1 non-rro loss which was avenged in the tournament, average w/l%, high SOS. Garnet: 2-2 vs RRO's, maybe 3-2 w/ york faltering (muhlenberg). Great w/l%, average sos . If the committee had to pick be...

Did anyone see this? https://www.instagram.com/p/C6HCQRSrAjB/
Swapping Hiram for JCU is great for the North Coast
Surprised the PAC would take them back? Figured they would end up in the land of the former United East cast-offs (Hilbert, Laroche, etc.)

Re: 2024 Pool C
Regional rankings come out today correct? First week is alphabetical correct? then, from next week on, they are hard ranked? RIT by your count would actually have 6 as they beat GC. GC would have 3 (OWU, Kenyon, York) York would have 2 (W&L, Denison) Swat would have 2 (Dickinson, Gettysburg) Nok...

Re: Conference Shuffle
Reviving this thread as the alignments were posted: https://ncaaorg.s3.amazonaws.com/championships/sports/lacrosse/d3/men/2023-24D3MLA_RegAlignment.pdf Guess the USA South absorption didn't pan out. tough to see the tigers and pirates floating out as independents. Feel like both schools will have a ...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D3
Made it very very far with both OWU and Cortland and won it all at the highest level twice with Cuse - it's quite a resume! D1 experience is a game changer for most D3 ADs if they can swing it dollars wise. Current Openings: Colby (ME) Concordia-Chicago (IL) Hanover (IN) Utica (NY) Filled: Allegheny...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D3
Any insider insight as to how the process went down? Were there other offers made or was Coach Rogers the first choice? It would make sense as he's the known quantity for Cortland, but seems a lot of the posters/insiders thought it was going a different direction...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D3
I must've been distracted by the big bold letters in a previous post, or the PA based coach might have just negotiated himself a nice little raise

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D3
I could see it being the gators or the spartans based on his history. Need more HCAC teams to pick up men's lacrosse. Transylvania leaving (probably largely due to competition) gutted that conference of meaningful games. The league/competition was probably making Hanover a difficult place to recruit...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D3
I'd be surprised for it to be plunket with Muhlenberg on the come up and Blak Widow being very successful, but I think he & his wife are CNY natives - coaching life is a lot easier to navigate when 2 sets of grandparents are around to help with childcare. If indeed it is the Muhlenberg HC, the c...

Re: Conference Shuffle
Wow. Does that make the stock of the Cortland job rise even higher? Pretty tough to get fired if you win your conference & make NCAA's every year
