Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

Anytime our Jays beat OSU, I am happy. Can't stand OSU in anything. Now it's time for some turtle soup!

Re: COACHING YOUTH COACHES

Hey, folks, The old chimp here. This summer, we are creating videos to help youth coaches -- or coaches working with boys who are new to the game. I am hoping to get your help. If interested, please pm me. Thanks Heck I would love videos for prospective coaches looking to learn more on the game. Th...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

Hard year to read. After UVA, it was this is a top tier team. Now after Cuse & Navy, people are wondering if they still are. Hopefully they cruise in B1G play and we find out in the NCAA tournament. The FOGO issue is very concerning to me. How can you not get one to come to Hopkins?

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

Odd post I know, but I have a couple stepkids in band. One is athletic, so I doubt he sticks with it, but he's trying. Both of them wanted to learn To Win since they've heard it watching with me in the spring. Anyone have the sheet music for it or where I can find it. Google search brings up random ...

Re: Most Painful Loss You Have Witnessed Involving Your Favorite Program?

As a younger Hopkins fan, the championship loss to Syracuse and 2015 semi to Maryland are tied.

Losing to those two, Virginia, and Princeton always suck. Even losing to Duke, UNC, ND, Loyola, and OSU sucks too!

Re: PLL 2023

Thoughts on PLL basically going to the MLL model? I keep saying we need 3 pro leagues. NLL remains but adjust the schedule. Then bring the MLL back tied to cities near the heart of college lacrosse blue bloods that runs along the college season. Think Hopkins on Saturday at Homewood and the Bayhawk...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

Good to have been back in the mix this 2023 season. The PSU loss & the B1G tourney loss to Maryland hurt as did the Loyola, UNC, & Virginia ones too. We played ND tough so no shame there. The Georgetown, Navy, and Syracuse wins were nice as were the B1G successes. I'm cautiously optimistic ...

Re: Club/Rec Lax and COVID

How does one get lacrosse started in an area that is oblivious to the sport? I'd love to see it as an option in my area in the future. Find your local Rec program that has football, hoops, cheerleading, wrestling, etc, and teach out to them. Everything is ran through the school systems here in NE/E...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2023

This was a winnable game that was gifted away in the 2nd OT. Why in the world do the Jays stand around for 30 seconds when you’re a man up with one minute to go in regulation? Fear of a turnover? You’re a man up. Make the defense move! Maybe they’ll commit another penalty out of desperation. Instea...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2023

Game management has to improve from PM. Up a man towards the end of regulation and it expires before the shot clock and end up with a violation. You have to convert that man up. Even if you don't, you can't have a shot clock violation. TO he didn't get but tried was going to be too late. Have to cal...
