Re: Rank the snubs

Rutgers 2016 schedule was unimpressive...I don't think they were snubbed at all. Rutgers had two wins against in-conference Hopkins that Rutgers fans pointed to at the time. Hopkins 2016 had a handful of significant injuries, and it was clear early on in their schedule (to Hopkins fans) they would n...

Re: CNN Special Report: Scheme and Scandal

Does Fareed provide test scores and HS GPAs for those suspected of receiving advantageous preference? What about their respective schools’ admissions standards and scholarship criteria?

Re: Ding Dong the Dive is Dead

Been to multiple games the last two weekends and it is virtually impossible to dive and land in the crease without touching the top of the ice cream cone line. I suppose it is possible to land on top of the original crease line with half of your body outside the line without touching the cone line ...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020

I believe that Brian Brecht at Rutgers is one of the most out-of-control coaches on the sidelines when his team is not doing well. And when they’re doing “well”. He had the most undeserving, smug excitement and overconfidence when his team was beating/beat Hopkins in 2016 when Petro was out for his...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020

That does nothing to diminish my point. Don't need a top, or even solid goalie to advance in the tournament anymore. The goalie with the highest regular season save percentage in the Final Four was Penn St.'s goalie. He was ranked #44 in the NCAA. That doesn't strike you as a tad strange, given our...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020

Hopkins lives rent-free in this guy's brain. Literally cannot stop talking about us. Completely unsolicited. The guy just can't stop! It's pathological. You absolutely love to see it. Not true. I want to see the 7th-best D1 team in the state of Maryland succeed. 7th best? Loyola must not have...

Re: US Lacrosse U15 and U17 Teams

I have yet to see US Lacrosse do anything worth while. Serious question: Is the player insurance they provide even a good deal? That’s about the only worth while thing I could possibly see. All their stick/gear grants seemed to targeted at areas other than my area, and although I can’t say I keep u...

Re: US Lacrosse U15 and U17 Teams

Under Redfern’s leadership, World Lacrosse is undergoing significant growth and change, including an increased emphasis on membership support and development, the introduction of new international disciplines for lacrosse, the recruitment of a full-time professional staff, and the introduction of a...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020

I agree with the notion that Petro's defensive scheme/passive defensive style is a huge negative, as well as the (lack of) size of midfielders on both ends of the field. I'd also like to add that there are some fundamental, individual defensive mistakes I see far too often with the Hopkins defense w...

Re: The Lax bro culture 2020

If there ever is to be a solid professional lacrosse league that pays lucrative salaries, doesn’t it need to start somewhere, even if it’s small? Telling players to grow up and get a real job and give up on professional lacrosse doesn’t help. With that mindset nothing will ever get accomplished.

Even Cleveland State played PSU closer than Hopkins did this season, 15-11. Let that sink in.

InsideLacrosse scoreboard is still showing, at 4:48 pm, Hopkins up 15-13 in 4Q against Rutgers. Hopefully they can hold Rutgers off...seriously though, is it really that difficult to update the score to “Final”?

Re: MLL Draft

Initially it seems the pay and bennies are better in the PLL, so there is that. But it is currently a 'barnstorming show' and the one (only?) thing the MLL has going for it is its traditional city/region league format, which can be attractive, and is familiar. It's the worldwide model for team spor...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)

Hopkins has many issues they need to figure out and work through, but I agree with the primary and most concerning one being lack of size and talent at the midfield position. At this point, I think Petro needs to make size of players on offense a #1 priority, even over raw talent. Petro has not demo...

Thank you for the instagram, where it is clear Cook hit him in the upper chest....NOT the head. Cooks problem was the one hand off the stick....gonna get you a penalty all the time. Definitely needed. I didn't notice many, if any, changes to the lineup that we used in the first two blowouts, and we nearly lost this one too. This inability to adapt is worrisome. I almost feel we won simply because of the mud on the field and because of Cook's releasable penalty.

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)

For me personally, the MLL seemed to make no effort to make content available online, and certainly didn't have a good TV product. Whenever a recruit or Hop player has some highlights or full game available, how do most of us here view/share the content? We watch it on YouTube. The MLL had virtually...
