Re: MIAA 2023

Big games today. What're your picks? I've got: Albion over Hope (Rivalry game. Albion is better, but...) Trine over Calvin (Close game, but Thunder at home with the edge.) Adrian over Alma (Adrian should win, but Alma was scrappy) Albion but the D is not as good as years prior so containing Hope's ...

SGenius, what's your IWU/Hope prediction?

I think it will be the closest game of today's matchups, and I won't be surprise to see Hope win. Short turnaround (and harder matchup) from yesterday's game will impact Hope more than IWU.

Re: 2021 Tournament

Given how much of a farce the Pool C bids were for the D-III women’s bracket, it’s worth noting that there is a nonzero chance none of this analysis matters! I half expect the NCAA to leave out all of the above teams and send Baldwin Wallace + North Central instead to “balance the regions” or whate...

Re: CCIW 2021

Congrats to IWU for winning the CCIW tournament, beating North Central College in OT by the score 18-17. Both IWU and NCC won their semi-final games handily. As a couple of people mentioned on social media posts, the final was an exciting, hard fought, back and forth game. IWU continues their confer...

Re: 2021 Tournament

Agree. Need to hear from DIII With the Athletic East getting an AQ, here is my list of the 29 conferences getting AQs. If Pool B gets 1 bid, and the tourney size is 31, that only leaves 1 at-large bid. # Region Conf Name 1 1 Commonwealth Coast Conference (9) 2 1 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (...

Re: CCIW 2021

The 2021 CCIW regular season, along with other Midwest lacrosse conferences (NACC, MIAA, MLC) had a very successful year in handling the Covid restrictions. Travel restrictions limited the number of over night trips, so most OOC games were against teams in the Midwest geographical area. While there ...

Congrats to Benedictine University for adding the NACC Conference tournament championship to their regular season championship. It is BU's first trip to the NCAA tourney. Notable for BU's 2021 season is beating Aurora University for the first time in program history. Not only once, but twice, with t...

Re: CCIW 2020

I think Redbirds asked the top 2020 questions. Nosey, you got the right approach… show respect and humor in telling it like it is! No doubt the lacrosse community isn’t looking to the CCIW, MLC, and MIAA to take over DIII lacrosse. But, the teams are filled with men that love the competition and tak...
