The 2021 D3 season did not count towards eligibility. This ruling was specific to D3.keno in reno wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 9:38 pm How is Boyden eligible? He played 10 games in 2021, 22 in '22, 23 games in '23 (they sure play a lot of games in D3) and then this whole season.
I don't understand this whole eligibility equation

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
The attendance was actually pretty good. Over 15,000 which is more than any other D3 sports (football and basketball etc) ever, as well as most D1 sports and more than the D1 women’s Final played yesterday. Not sure what the angle was for the stream but it was basically two big sections behind the b...

Re: W&L 2024
This goes out to w&Llacrosse75, I've finally crawled out of my hole from seeing last saturdays results...I must say I've eaten my fair share of crow this week. Its like a fire on my tongue, burning my mouth to say, but well done generals. Congrats on a season that was historic within a program ...

Re: CNU 2024
I heard they already have 2 D1 kids coming next year. MT probably realizes they lose a ton of experienced starters and will need to bring in some D1 talent to help soften the blow. With all the kids in the portal right now, I bet we see 3-4 transfers coming. Heck, we know Salisbury is going to brin...

4 freshman are earning a lot of play time at this point, Emsing, Ito, Beyer and Lee, and they produced 4g, 1a, 2CT against W&L. The sophomore class is off the charts.

Re: Salisbury 2024
First I want to preface this question that I have by saying I am someone who has a lot of respect for the Gulls program, and in particular Coach Berkman. Amazing he’s won national titles in each of the last 4 decades. I had a conversation with a good friend today who’s an avid lax fan when I posed ...

Re: DIII TRANSFERS
I will also be happy for the landscape to even out as the Salisburys, Tufts, CNUs and RITs seem to have a fair number of these 5th and 6th year players. Correction, Tufts has zero 5th/6th year players. In fact they only have 3 seniors who see time, their starting goalie, a third-line middie and a s...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
What a hill to die on…going after a player who had 3g in the D1 Quarters yesterday and is their leading scoring middie. UVA has 242 goals this year, Tufts had 468 last year. Lot more points to go around last season. Just stop.

Re: W&L 2024
I think fatigue finally caught up to the team in the second half. Not citing this as an excuse just a fact and something every team must face. Not being used as an excuse....but mentioned by quite a few people in this thread. I agree it its not ideal to play back to back and wish the system was dif...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
Of course it's a success, and he's a great player. What I'm saying is the the transition isn't easy. Why did he have to switch to midfield? He had to switch because when you have Shellenberger, Kormier, and Millon as your starting attack, there is no room for him to really play. Not sure who the fo...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
Because that’s where UVA is thin and they felt he’d be better suited than Millon. One of them had to. They have been putting him on attack and Millon up top at times the last few weeks.

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
Regnery is too good to just be a sophomore Regnery is ridiculous. Fun to watch. He's got an extra gear. He got his hands free on sweeps and in transition just with pure speed. He will be a top 5 player in division 3 next year if he is not one already. Gentlemen, and of course ladies, Reg could star...

Re: NESCAC
Jack Boyden gets a hattrick for UVA in their 11-10 2OT win over Hopkins in D1 Quarters on same day Tufts heads back to the D3 National Championship. Meanwhile all the graduate students from CNU/Salisbury etc…can only watch lacrosse from home. Tufts still has to get through the grads at RIT, but I th...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
Can we hear all about that amazing 1st quarter against Swarthmore (average team) again and how it demonstrated Salisbury is absolutely unbeatable this year? Berkman can sit in his perch and schedule nobody’s year after year (Berry, Scranton etc….). Sometimes it still works out, this year it bit him,...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
CNU gave up a million goals in their six losses this year
(Basically any ranked team they played). Not really the team to lecture anyone about defense. Not a great year.

Re: NESCAC
Anyone see both Midd-Bowdoin games? What changed that Bowdoin had so much trouble second time around? Also doesn’t seem like Bowdoin has ever been to a final 4 in school history, so even more on line for them. But a 8 hour bus ride from Maine is brutal. Let’s just hope Tufts gets by Salisbury and i...

Re: NESCAC
The down year for the NESCAC continues as Midd, Bowdoin and Tufts coast to the Quarterfinals, all playing on the road. Yes, only 3 of the final 8 teams in D3 are NESCAC teams.
Middlebury’s horrible year season in particular just won’t end.

Re: NESCAC
Didn’t watch any of the game, but St. John Fisher is not very good this year - that is a huge upset. So much for what would have been a very interesting St. Lawrence-Wesleyan matchup with two completely different styles. Will have to wait until the QFs against Tufts. Related…does this impact hostin...
