Makes no sense. The offense plays painfully slow. Quint's assessment was spot on. Players looked slow and tentative. Passed up on a good shot in favor of continuing to pass the ball around the outside. This isn't an issue of talent, it's the game plan.

Tillman doesn't like early offense. He likes to slow the play down, look for the best pass and the best shot - not the first shot. You can see the players all hesitate to shoot. Shooting was terrible. Thought Malevar and Koras both played well and carried the offense.

Erksa had a tough game and stupid turnovers. Those need to get cleaned up because some were on basic passes. Tillman is giving him a long leash on that where he wouldn't allow it for others.

Generally speaking offensive players like to shoot. If they are not shooting as frequently it is usually two things - they are struggling with confidence or they are being directed not too.

Why is the offense a "work in progress" again this year? Tillman has many returning parts and has had time to figure this out. The offense is slow and controlled and easy to defend.

Isn't Murphy your outside shooter?

Maybe Maryland needs to look at what their system is. The top teams all have dynamic offenses and Maryland is flat. The shooting has been bad all year and the offense doesn't play loose with any creativity. Probably too late for this year.

Since we are looking at player stats it is worth mentioning that prior to the OSU game Kelly had 6 goals on 28 shots in the past 5 games. Wouldn't call that great production either. That's the issue with this offense - lots of examples of underperformance or inconsistent performance across the board...

Starting Attack was 1 - 11 in game against Penn State. Obviously they are missing Malevar. I'm a fan of Murphy and would have loved to see how the two of them worked together at Attack.
