Re: NCAC 2025
Ned....this topic could be covered in volumes but the Denison-OWU rivalry goes back fifty years and there have been multiple years where OWU was dominant (mid 70's, 80's, 90's) and then periods where Denison (last 20 years) was the top dog. Before 1974, Denison had a 20-3 edge in what was anything b...

Re: NCAC 2025
Dad question here: What will it take for OWU to get back to the tourney? How close are they to at least winning the NCAC. I like the freshman class but they all look good in fall. LOL Denison is still the favorite, since they have dominated the NCAC since 2018. But they are losing the most talent i...

Re: NCAC 2025
FWIW - Wabash has 38 players in their fall team picture. Always some attrition, and possible two-sport guys not in the pic, but more progress any way you look at it. White....nice 'step-up' 2025 schedule for Wabash...some easy early games to get their offense going and then Ill. Wesleyan, Ohio Nort...

Re: NCAC 2025
WC -- Everything you say about Oberlin is true -- someday they hope to have an athletic program that their Music and Arts Departments can be proud of. You are rightfully proud of Wabash's prowess in team sports like football, basketball and baseball. The Little Giants have a long and proud athletic ...

Re: NCAC 2025
That was major mistake dropping out. Great exposure for both recruiting and alumni fund-raising. I suspect once you drop out, you can't just get back in when it suits you.

NCAC 2025
Time to flip the calendar.... Early prognostications... 1. Denison -- Lost some key pieces, but still has more talent and should respond to revamped coaching staff. 2. OWU -- Entire offense returns. Lost a couple d-middies, but defense returns four All-NCAC players. This might be the year... 3. Keny...

Re: NCAC 2024
OWU announced this week that Dr. Jay Martin will be retiring from coaching following the fall soccer season. With a total of 762 wins, Martin is the winningest coach in NCAA men's soccer history. Heading into the 2024 season, he has guided his 46 Battling Bishop soccer teams to a 762-164-81 record. ...

Re: NCAC 2024
Lets leave the bottom of the barrel, NESCAC groupies out of it.. time to get back to business. Anyone want to take a stab at "way to early" NCAC expectations this coming season? Kenyon obviously on the rise, is OWU declining (although they have a talented young team), Denison is likely th...

Re: NCAC 2024
I know this is a shift from the Denison discussion, but as followers of the NCAC, what are your thoughts on Depauw, Oberlin, and Wittenberg? How might the addition of John Carroll affect their future performance? Of those three schools, Oberlin is the up-and-comer. Oberlin is flush with cash (their...

Re: NCAC 2024
Congratulations to the eighteen players from the NCAC who were named to the USILA All-American teams...as expected, Denison placed seven, OWU five, and Kenyon and Wooster, three apiece. The good news for the rest of the conference is that five of the Denison players have graduated (Fisher, Crowley, ...

Re: NCAC 2024
I got 'no dog' in the discussion of Denison's coaching staff. Certainly the choice of the Bartletts as assistant coaches was unconventional, but both are knowledgeable and smart. There are several examples where female coaches are making their way into both the NBA and the NFL staffs. I can't say if...

Re: NCAC 2024
Good luck to the Kenyon Owls vs. Denison. I want to see a great, close game and let the best team win. Ned...I agree the Big Red shouldn't take Kenyon lightly....they fought and hustled and found a way to win vs. OWU. No sense revisiting what happened in the final two minutes, the Bishops players le...
