Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023

Blue Jays are coming to town … uh, ya know what I mean. Predictions? DocBarrister 8-) Was at the Hopkins/UNC game Tuesday night. What surprised me was the lack of speed on Hopkins defense and the inability of their offense to generate shots in the second half. I think Hounds win by 4-5 goals. Poche...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023

LOL. I played for Charlie and Van. I love both of them. Just think last year they were coming off an almost final four appearance and relied on certain guys too much. This year they seem, in my mind and from guys who were in last years locker room, to have a different perspective. Great coaches lear...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023

What really impressed me about yesterday was Toomey’s willingness to play freshmen. Minicus is a normal starter. With Kamish out with a Hamstring injury Toomey went with Freshman Haberman over more experienced attack guys. Haberman came through with two goals and two huge ground balls. Minicus added...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023

Great win. When you lose 80% of dance-offs to a team like MD you expect to lose by double digits. Hounds defense is excellent. Yes Staudt made some great saves but the Loyola defense forced MD to take bad shots and turn the ball over. Wyers, Hughes, and the rest were beasts. Offensively the goals th...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023

Freshman Minicus is starting. Rest of offensive group is Kamish, James, Higgins, Lindsey and Poitras. Pocheco needs to win at least 50% for Hounds to have a chance. Have watched offense past two weeks and they are moving the ball very well. Think they can put up double digits v MD. Defense is strong...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023

12-12 tie in today’s scrimmage v UNC. Lots of good things. Higgins is a beast so far this year. Some nice work by a few freshmen in Minicus, Murphy and Haberman. Sally with a second goal in two games from LSM. Up 10-9 after three and some subs came in on D. Much better start to this year over last. ...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023

Doesn’t matter as it’s a scrimmage but I heard from a Richmond Frs father a couple of offensive starters were out w minor injuries. Just a note as I know it’s real information not to rain on any fans parade because they “won”a I was at yesterday’s scrimmage. Kamish and Poitras didn’t play. Minicus ...
