the one real weak link, the sophomore St Joe's goalie - deer in the headlight won't cut it.

Nunes isn’t exactly lighting it up. Two blown clears.

3-3

St Joe’s GK #34 looks sharp. Fast.

Re: #6 Virginia vs Saint Joseph’s Saturday @ noon

Hey we are here for this matchup. Not saying the following will lead to victory, but St Joe’s is awfully excited in warmups, whereas UVA seems subdued. Now, that’s either gonna mean St Joe’s blew their energy before the opening whistle, or UVA isn’t interested in prolonging the season, or UVA saves ...

Why did Brandau only have limited points vs Princeton?

Hmmmmmm............

Could it be in both matchups they won about 7 or 8 out of 28 or so faceoffs? Hard to score if you never never ever ever have the ball!]

Think about it.....

True.

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024

Kavanagh is going to win the award if ND - as I think most of us expect - wins the tourney, and, to quote William Munny, "deserve's got nothing to do with it." On a more general topic, I do think Yale would benefit from toughening up their OOC schedule a bit, assuming anyone wants to play...

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024

If Kav leads his team to the championship again he's definitely winning it. If O'Neal turns it on and leads Duke to the finals again he may win it. If Shelly goes on a tear like his freshman yr in tournament then he could win it. Anyone who is not in the tournament just doesn't have a chance. The v...

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024

Not knocking Brandau in any way - exceptional player with a historic year given injuries at Yale , and I'm not even suggesting Kav should win the award. but my issue with PPG as determining factor is it can't factor in opponents. Past nine games for each team: Yale: Princeton (2), Albany, Hofstra, ...

Re: #3 Hopkins vs Lehigh Sunday @ noon

I think the Blue Jays will win this one, but their O will need more than 7 goals. Lehigh is capable of forcing Hopkins to play a lot of D with their lengthy possessions. I think that will leave Hopkins vulnerable to a late run by Lehigh. This is one game where the Blue Jays need to start fast and k...

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024

Agreed. If Yale played a weak schedule, I think Brandau would have some trouble getting over the fence. This not being the case, I don't think the committee will punish a player because he plays for a (slightly) weaker team. Keeping in mind, Yale didn't suck. They just didn't qualify for the tourne...

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024

Brandau's trophy to lift unless Pat Kavanagh does something other-worldly over the next few weeks. Agreed. I think others here are betting on past history of needing to be in the tournament. Brandau’s PPG margin is too big to ignore. And no one else in the group of four other finalists has distingu...

Re: #4 Syracuse vs Towson Sunday @ 7:30

This would be the upset of all upsets. Unlikely to happen for Towson. Weisshaar is one of the most undervalued players in the country though. Towson seems to be clicking at the right time. They will likely stay within striking range playing stout defense until the middle of the second half when Syr...

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024

Finalists are out. Brandau is almost certainly done with no tournament appearance, will be one of Shelly, PKav, Oneill, or Entenmann You’re assuming one of those ‘tournament’ guys excels the next two weeks. I still say it’s Brandau’s. His PPG lead over everyone is too large to ignore. I believe it ...

Maryland getting zero love from the Fanlax community for the poll.

Mackesy is really talented. There just isn’t enough room on these lists.
