Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024

Shelley preserves his chances. Solid game, but Wayer the best player for Virginia today. Tip the cap to the 2nd goalie That second goalie was playing in front of his hometown. Probably meant more to him than we can appreciate. Question: does Lars start him versus Maryland? Wondering the same thing....

For sure -- that's the kind of "put this on my back boys" moment that O'Neill just didn't have this year. Congrats to an awesome player for the kind of clutch moment that's made him a legend. Well done #1.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

Congrats on a great year. I know this one stings but Jays really impressed. I thought Virginia might roll them when the score was tied at 7-7 but they hung in there and were about a play away from Memorial Day weekend. A couple too many failed clears; missed time-out by PM; missed crease call by the...

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30

Why didn’t PM call a timeout. Draw up a play. Score. DocBarrister :? Or give his guys a rest. They clearly need it. I have had it with Peter Milliman. DocBarrister And my kudos to Tillman for calling timeouts every time correctly must be balanced out by questioning Milliman for not calling time out...

Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30

From the view from TVlandia, Hopkins probably got shafted twice on calls -- on the Millon 10th goal being upheld and the Kastner late hit/cross check to the head in OT -- but they had their chances. Great game. Tough for JHU to lose in OT like that but hats off to the Jays on a great year and anothe...

Re: Denver Pioneers 2024

Congratulations to the Pios faithful -- pretty terrific for Matt Brown to get to Memorial Day in his first season as Head Coach. Denver played very well against Syracuse -- it's a pleasure to see the strong team defense -- and more than earned the spot in the semis.

Re: Will We Have An All-ACC Final Four?

A lot of ppl expected Cuse to get upset last week and they didn't. Now this week same thing Cuse will be upset. Denver is a good team but inconsistent. Which Denver team shows up? They have a chance if they bring their best but that might not even be enough. SU can score and not sure Denver can mat...

Re: Syracuse 2024

^^^^Get it out now, boys. Cuse gonna be ranked in top 5 next year. They return five 20+ goal scorers, an excellent FOGO, and most of the defense. Let’s strap up for fall ball already!!! This was a good year, lots to be optimistic about for Syracuse. Big question mark I think would be in goal? Do th...

Re: Navy 2025

I would highly doubt that many, if any people love Navy Lacrosse more than Tills does. I am sure Tills has a strong attachment to Navy, as he came of age there as a coach, got to work with one of the all-time great guys in lacrosse, Richie Meade, and coached some pretty extraordinary young people. ...

I think so, too.
Yikes, close one. I think Will Mark would like that one back if it's a good goal (although not much reaction time with the guy that close and the defender falling down).

Denver's 7th goal was awfully nice; they're playing great D (including on man down defense) and getting more confident on the offensive side of things.

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024

Carc described a few of his saves yesterday as "absolute perfection," so let's ignore the stats. Not one finalist is doing what they need to do to win this award. Bottom line. Entenmann didn’t look that great yesterday. If any Kavanaugh deserves it at this stage, it’s Chris not Pat. I’m s...

Re: John Tillman: Best Coach in the Game, Right?

I think that some other coaches (and maybe some TV/media types) at this point fully believe Tillman is kind of witch doctor or voodoo doctor. Yesterday might not have been Tillman's most important win, but it might have been his greatest win. Pure magician. TerpTalk posted some videos from yesterda...

Buzz buzz! More that I watched the game on DVR and had embargoed myself from social media/Fanlax. So this was my real-time hot take.

John Tillman: Best Coach in the Game, Right?

Still letting the Maryland-Duke game sink in (following Maryland's dismantling of a previously very hot Princeton team): As the final seconds ticked off the clock I found myself thinking that John Tillman must be seen as the greatest current coach. Is there really a counter-argument, given how he's ...

Re: Yale 2025

Good write-ups for the 2025 Yale season. A few thoughts: • Despite losing the GOAT scorer, there is a boatload of offense coming back next season. It is unclear who the third attackmen will be – Monihan certainly looked more like an attackman than a midfielder this season – but there certainly appe...
