I saw a tweet that said it was the 11th largest of the 17 held in NFL stadiums. It beat out 2012-15 and 2017-18.

Be within, say, 5 FOs of Yale's total.

Re: Coaching Carousel Post-2019 Season

If Hampton wants a sustainable program, it needs to get in a conference, preferably SoCon which is generally manageable from a travel perspective. Coach Carter deserves great credit for his dedication to the program and getting it started. Sowell would be a good choice, but something tells me Stars...

It was the nets more than the goals' frames. They moved if you looked at them the wrong way.

Re: D1 Men NCAA Tournament

Or karma evening out things? The clear foot on the crease should have negated a first half Maryland goal (if there was instant replay). And the clear pipe non-goal should have not counted (if there was instant replay). Net result - each team got a goal that should not have counted. Am I not seeing ...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)

Was about to post a mea culpa. ESPN in Canada posted Md as the winner. Who scored the game winner ? Last week, lax.com had UMBC over Penn state Matt Moore on a right-handed shot about 10 yards out off a feed from a dodger at the left GLE. Tainted victory for Tiffany. UVA lost that game in regulatio...

Re: D1 Men NCAA Tournament

Attendance numbers for today’s game ? Anyone? Bueller Bueller ! From Patrick Steven’s twitter Announced crowd today of 8,017. Of the 47 predetermined quarterfinal sites since 1996, this was the 29th largest crowd of the bunch. For those 4 teams at Hofstra, on a beautiful day is not a good sign Kind...

IDK, it sure seemed like UMd was just throwing the ball around the circle on offense vs. Towson like there was no shot clock (exactly like they always did on offense under Tilman).

Re: ACC 2019

Wow -- UVA subbing in Burkinshaw in goal in the second half with the score 6-6. Whatever Tiffany was looking for, he doesn't seem to be finding it so far -- NC on a four-goal run and up 10-6. Announcers are criticizing it on the grounds of (a) morale -- timing of putting his name in the transfer po...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)

I think the question at hand is not his overall record against top-five opponents, but the trend. But, paraphrasing OC and A Fan: How would that trend have differed had somebody else been at the helm? And somebody else who? Scotty and Chic are not available. Tierney the elder is not coming back, I ...

Re: VIRGINIA Lacrosse

If 3 teams 2-2 in acc, what's the tie breaker? Goals against? Tiebreakers: 1. Head-to-head results. Falls out in an "A beat B, B beat C, and C beat A" scenario. 2. Results against the highest seeded team not in the daisy chain. Duke beat us, the other three lost. 3. Goals allowed in confe...

Re: ACC 2019

If Duke, ND, and Syracuse tie at 1-3, with their only wins being against each other, tiebreakers 3-5 are in effect:

3. Goals allowed among the tied teams in conference play against the other tied teams

4. Goal differential in conference games

5. Blind draw

Re: VIRGINIA Lacrosse

This game very easily could have been 20-4. Virginia called off the dogs pretty early. They are looking primed to take the ACC. It wasn't just that they called off the dogs, Richmond's goalie came up with some really big saves on what would have been goals if he wasn't as sharp as he was tonight.

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)

I visit a lot of schools' message boards in a lot of sports. Nearly every one of them has two common complaints, "Why don't the students come to the games like they did when I was in school?" and "Why doesn't the administration support the ______ team like it used to?" Doesn't ma...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)

I guess I can reconcile myself to getting behind Petro vs. Corrigan once a year. Reintroduces a certain mano a mano element we haven't had regularly since Tierney went to Denver. We can restart the Boorish Coach Behavior thread here on Fanlax... As for the other ACC team, that's a cool story about ...
