Re: Orange Duce
Yawn. The capo skimmed a little from mob boss. This was all brought out on direct examination a week ago. Sure, but how do 12 trust anything he says has merit. Hell, Cohen and Stormy could have been banging and set trump up to fleece him  Rooting for an acquittal, YA? You believe he didn't do ...

Re: Orange Duce
Shocked. At least John Barron was there to fairly report on the event.

Re: Home Stretch / National Rankings
F&M takes down Tufts in OT, in a game Tufts led the whole way until Dips scored with .15 left in regulation.
Semifinals:
Middlebury v. F&M
Salisbury v. William Smith
Should be a nice weekend of lacrosse.

Middlebury up 10-1 with 11:00 to go in the second quarter. Women against girls. Just not on the same planet.

Pretty fair summary of the trial so far, together with the as yet unknown consequences that lurk just out of sight, by David French in the Times today: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/19/opinion/trump-trial-election-appeal.html "I can’t remember when I’ve been more disturbed by a criminal trial...

Not sure about that. But he’s a man, so I don’t think he qualifies for the women’s AA honors. Had a nice game against Duke today.

Re: QF #2 Duke vs #7 Maryland Saturday 2:30
Seems like a coaching deficit here, particularly with Duke on offense; no adjustments from Duke this whole half that I can see.

Re: Home Stretch / National Rankings
Well I was wrong about Ithaca-PPC. Pomona Pitzer controlling Ithaca; 15-7 with 5:25 to go. I don't see PPC giving Middlebury a scare. Middlebury's speed and discipline at both ends is just at another level.

Upset Alert
Colby up 7-5 over Wes with about 3:30 to go in the game.
Colby wins, defeats the No.2 team in the country at that team's home surface.
Middlebury cruises and will likely play Ithaca tomorrow afternoon.

Re: 2024
"Dems like me" are not 100% happy with Biden, and don't pretend to be. But it is a reality that one candidate and one party are still interested in democracy, an unfettered right to vote, the rule of law and other outdated stuff like that. The GOP has rejected democracy; this is the lesson...
Re: 2024
You see this reality most plainly in the daily Republican theatrics surrounding Trump’s criminal indictments. Rather than wrestle seriously with the profoundly troubling claims against him, they treat the criminal cases as proof of Democratic perfidy. They believe every claim against Hunter and Joe...

A little drama added to final day of EPL GK Emerson out for final game against West Ham and FA Cup final with eye socket fracture from game against Tottenham. It may not make a difference, but still, you don’t want to see your GK out with title on the line. https://www.theguardian.com/football/arti...

Re: All Things Russia & Ukraine
Interesting discussion on Morning Joe on Friday about how the US has an economy at approx. 26 Trillion, the EU has an economy at approx. 25 trillion, China is at 17T and Russia is at 1.7T. Common Russians subsist on 800 rubles a month while the kleptocracy rides around in $700 million yachts. Taxes...
