Re: Northwestern v. Maryland 4/23/2022 at 11:30 AM
Looks like this is on the B1G Network. I got the game-time from the Maryland website, so looking at an early lunch to start this game. I'll be rooting for Maryland, because the opponent is Northwestern. Not sure final score but I’m thinking NU win. Sorry ;) No apologies necessary. I'm a Syracuse fa...

Re: Beef with the polls
I think MD's defense negates NU's advantage on the draws. Their handful of common opponents have consistently scored nearly 2x as many goals on NU as they have on MD. Meanwhile MD is scoring 75-90% as many goals against those same teams as NU. NU deserves to be ranked ahead of MD right now based on...

Re: Coaches poll
https://www.iwlca.org/news_article/show/1221471 Having watched MD play a few times recently, I think they may be under-ranked at #8. They are playing some real good lacrosse right now and certain players are really stepping up. Yes, I have them at No. 7, and wonder if I have them too low as well. T...

Re: FanLax Forum Poll
Idiot Poll for this week, which excludes any team below .500 (that's UVA and Notre Dame): 1. UNC -- not much to say, except that they are the best and deepest team in the sport right now. 2. BC -- still believe, game in and game out, this is the second best team in the country. Hall had an abysmal ...

Re: All Things Russia & Ukraine
Google tells me that interview is from the Atlantic. This part won't be well received in this forum among those who consider anything other than good news & total victory to be unpatriotic & Russian propaganda. Very good article: ...The normality is deceiving. ...The general in charge of th...

Re: All Things Russia & Ukraine
Very good article: “Kyiv is halfway normal now. Burnt-out Russian tanks have been removed from the roads leading into the city, traffic lights work, the subway runs, oranges are available for purchase. A cheerful balalaika orchestra was performing for returning refugees at the main rail station earl...
