Re: Cornell 2024
Nice win! Kirst is just a freak. Buczek set up a murderous schedule.. out of conference having to play the Irish and Syracuse will be rough. Looking forward to seeing out the big red handle it. LGR!

Re: Big Ten 2024
If Maryland can knockoff ND tomorrow it will be a big for the conference game RPI's. Every Acc team lost the last game they've played. I'm not sure that's ever happened before. The ACC is having a rough early go, reminds me of 2022 abit. They are currently 2-7 against the B1G, Ivy, Army, and George...

Really nice win, congrats. Looks like Hopkins is all the way back under Milliman. That Terps/Jays game is going to be awesome.

Re: Maryland 2024
Great game. Zap wont win it, but he is the Tewaaraton defender of truth. #22 is out. I agree. He right now is the best shut down Dman in D1 Lax. He is so sound with his fundamentals. I know it's unfair to compare anyone to Adler from Cornell, but he has many of the same instincts that Adler had. An...

Re: Maryland 2024
Who wears #1? Malever has the seniority and experience, but Erksa just has that “it” factor. I could see him wearing it the next three years. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see Zap wearing it, but not sure what he’s like in the locker room; Makar’s leadership qualities were probably a big reason h...

Re: Maryland 2024
But again, they needed shooting and he's a shooter and I wonder if it allows them to bump someone like Brennan to shortie to shore up that position and give them more flexibility at the midfield than what they had this past season. What exactly happened to Brennan this year? He went from being a ca...

Re: Most Painful Loss You Have Witnessed Involving Your Favorite Program?
Oh this one is so easy for me. 2015, watch the Terps live in Philly make the Championship game, which was unexpected. They lose pretty convincingly to Denver, but that wasn't a surprise. Next year, the final round is back in Philly again. Terps have a loaded squad, and look really poised to win the...

Re: Maryland 2024
Maryland had more threats. Shellenberger and the threat of Dickinson and Cormier inside made them an incredibly cohesive and deadly unit cause you had to pay so much attention to how they could hurt you behind the cage at X and then inside but they really couldn’t hurt you with much dodging from th...

Re: #1 Duke Vs #3 Notre Dame National Championship- 05/29 @ 1:00 PM
A lot of us on here like to joke about this being back-to-back national championships, but congrats to Notre Dame on finally getting a national championship. Outplayed Duke today and just wanted it more. Aside from the Kavanagh shenanigans, very worthy champions. Played tough, hard-nosed lacrosse. ...

Re: Jared Bernhardt
Its too bad. He had his moments over the past year and change, a national title, the game winning touchdown catch in a pre-season game. Hopefully just starting a new phase in his life. He’s obviously going to take giant pay cut if he goes to the PLL, but who wouldn’t want to see him playing lacross...

Re: Programs with an Identity, Programs without
Yeah, I was thinking of UCLA and Indiana as being close, but not quite in the same category as the rest of the blue bloods for college basketball. Indiana was there at one point, as they had won titles under McCracken and of course Knight. And UCLA was similar to Duke, in that Wooden put them in the...

Re: Programs with an Identity, Programs without
Blue Bloods are really characterized by sustained excellence over an extended period, over multiple coaches. If you look at basketball, the true blue bloods like UNC, Kentucky, and Kansas, have all won championships decades apart, with multiple coaches. Duke was always considered a blue blood under ...

Re: Who Wins it All in 2023?
Sure, dreams can be good predictors of the future . I had an unpleasant dream last night. Today while hiking on the woods in northern Baltimore County with my dog, I almost stepped on a snake. No big deal, snakes live in the woods and we encounter them fairly regularly. This afternoon my wife showe...
