Re: UVA 2024

Duke didn’t expose any weaknesses that have not been evident all year. They had the personnel to capitalize. Versus opponents who had legs chances to beat them, UVA is 1 and 2. SU will be tough.

After “The Trees” I just needed some more Everett. Started “So Much Blue” tonight with “James” on deck.

Re: UVA 2024

Now that Duke has moved Carpenter from lsm to close defense, I would assume that he will cover Millon with Brower on Shellenberger and Bard on Cormier. Carpenter excelled on gbs as a pole and handles his stick well on clears, but I like Millon’s chances again him in one on one matchups. For all the ...

Re: BOOKS

Read “The Trees” by Percival Everett nonstop from start to finish last night. It’s a fictional version of what happened to the woman who falsely accused Emmett Till and her descendants, but that’s not all. My once nit to pick has something to do with the age of one of the main characters.

It’s not unusual for graduates of MIAA schools to have a little age on them when they enter college. The predates “reclassing.”

I didn’t notice anything special in Baltimore although I talked to someone who said it was quite an experience. We live in the same zip code. It was not noticeable to me at all,

Re: Duke Fans

And no doubt they will decide to perform at a level commensurate with their potential next weekend. When it comes to Duke, the team I follow has a nasty case of the Cumberland blues.

Re: Duke Fans

Duke had enough midfield talent that in addition to the players that were mentioned, the guy who was Princeton’s top attackman a couuif years ago is a third midfielder who didn’t get in the game today as far as I can recall. They have plenty of quality midfielders. The results this year just don’t r...

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024

Frankly I’m leaning towards the Albany pole, but I know he won’t get it. With conference play heating up and the NCAAT on the horizon, Kirst, Kavanagh, O’Neill, and Shellenberger will have plenty of chances to stake their claim. T will go to the one if those four who leads his team farthest in May. ...
