I would Hope Holy Cross gives coach a little more rope than 2 years. I think most schools are just happy to have a program that isn't in news for wrong reasons and not embarrassing themselves. Sometimes things happen.

I think SJU is top 5 hardest programs to recruit for in D1.

Like a lot of programs, everyone thinks more of the program capabilities than it's current standing. Michigan on paper has everything you want in a school. I was one of many who thought they'd be kicking butt right away....but as we've seen, that doesn't happen. It takes time. The traditional Big10 ...

The program is still finding it's legs. Seems to be headed in right direction.

Id say that's a standard Nova game...and this is a standard Nova season. Good enough to play with just about everyone. But ultimately will need to get the AQ to make playoffs.

Rutgers/Maryland this weekend. Hopefully it lives up to the rankings going into the game.

Give the dude a chance. He looked pretty quick and fast, playing lacrosse and football, in game situations. The guys he's most often compared to, it took them a couple/few seasons to get going- Hogan, etc. If they see something in him, let him work at it until the dream is over.

He is not even close to same size as woodhead...height wise. which makes all the difference in the world.

Sounds like Montgomery from Duke is putting his name in the ring for the NFL too. Good luck to him! Speed will get you noticed.

time will tell...but the ACC teams have some catching up to do. The Ivy's might eat each other up...but if it's all spread out and everyone has a decent record end of season, they should get 4 in. This will be the fun as the season goes on. I think it's great the league has had the resurgence it has...

if they have any chance of making playoffs I think they need to finish at least second in BE regular season - either a win over Denver or G'Town...and then make to title game of Conference tournament.

So far, it looks like the Ivy's should get the space normally reserved for all the ACC teams in the tournament....as of this past weekend.

I enjoy Quint's as well. But Terry's actually reads like a college Football Top 25 on sports illustrated or similar. Quint's seems like he is trying to get it over with.

Found out after the fact that the Utah / Jax game was on CBSSports on sunday. I check the tv listings every week to see what's on what, didn't see this listed. I feel like CBS Sports is good for not listing a game and showing at least a few times a season. Anyone else notice this?

Franklin Field is pretty awesome from a historical standpoint.

Obviously give them time. Let GG get his recruits in. As for defense, for the past 5 years I've always thought the Cuse Defense looked smaller and less athletic than they were in the 2000's. It could be the TV, it could be the uniforms. Give the staff time to get their guys in and coach them up.

Hopefully they rebound this weekend against the Dutch.
