Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023
Much better performance then last season. Offensively ball was moving well. When things settled in I thought the guys out there played well and looked solid. James, Kamish, Lindsey, Poitras and Higgins all had goals(+) and made plays that could have resulted in more goals and / or points…we know wh...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023
So for more of a review Cuse jumped out to a 3-0 lead early. Greyhounds were without two starters on D. Came back strong though. Higgins had a nice goal and Minicus looked good at the QB spot at X. Was surprised to see Bateman Houston Binney trio at 2nd line mid. No goals but Houston did have a bunc...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023
What a day for the freshmen. Murphy may have been best Greyhound. Haberman Minicus Cote and West were terrific. 2nd line middies we’re invisible. FOGO is a huge problem. Lots of poles missing but Sophomores Roman and Houlihan were excellent. Tons of talent in the freshmen class and they played a ton...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023
2023 will be a breakout season for Liam Bateman or is this just wishful thinking? We’ll he is a graduate senior who didn’t score a single goal last year in 16 games so I guess any goals would be a breakout season. Heard he’s getting some second line middie runs and is a battle with a few others for...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023
Any word on inter squad scrimmage? My kid said Binney had 2G, Fairey (LSM) had two goals and that Haberman and Minicus both looked good for being freshman. Said Kamish also looked great. Second line mids were Binney, McGory and Houston. Minicus started with Kamish, Lindsey, James, Higgins and Poitras.

Re: Recruiting, the exact science
Sorry but it comes down to educational opportunities. Kid has a choice of Loyola, Rutgers and other good Lax programs or Ivy’s, Top schools like Duke, UNC, etc…. There is no real $$$ in Lax. Getting a great education is end game for wealthy families. Full Stop.

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023
Heard second line middies are in a group of five or six right now. One graduate senior, one senior, one junior, one sophomore and one or two freshmen. Bateman, Houston, Binney, McGory and Murphy/West/Brown. Friday will tell some. Cuse and Nova will be the real test. Seems like the young guys are get...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023
Alumni weekend this weekend. Big inter squad scrimmage on Friday night. Wish I could be there. Hope my kid gets to play. Reports are that a freshman attack is getting a shot with the first team group. Nice to see. Hope he continues to improve and shows what he can do. So far my kid loves the program...

“I'd caution that posting negative stuff can redound against your son, totally undeservedly for him, and give an unfortunate perception of you...so, be careful while he's involved not to be a griper, much as you may wish to see things happening differently. Probably the biggest no-no is critiquing p...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023
You win best post I’ve read on here in a while. The freshman/Sophomore parent speak in this thread is getting old. Yeah. Don’t listen to the parents of the kids who are in the room. Listen to fans. Obviously there are sour grape posters but I love hearing from guys whose kids are in the program and...

Re: NIL and Lacrosse
Gary Gait is the owner of a lax apparel and stick company and coaches Cuse. Can he pay kids from the company to attend Cuse? Something needs to be done on that front.

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023
I know that I will get blow back from what I am about to say, but we need to look at the root problems of this team. And I know that there is an unwritten rule of parents should not post, but I believe the whole picture needs to been seen. My son is one that may or may not come back next year. It i...

Re: Loyola Greyhounds 2023
At least 2025. I have heard a huge upswing in post grad applications for private schools or re-class kids trying to get in now. JUCOs are heavily recruiting kids in the portal too leaving no room for the high school kid too. I didn’t like the decision in 2020 and I like it less now. +1 Three of my ...
