Re: Play in games
Games are 6pm and 7pm. Seems ridiculous that the NCAA couldn’t space them out at least two hours so people could basically watch both games start to finish.

Re: Georgetown 2022
Trippi 25G and 24A at midfield. Those are clearly AA numbers. Others deserving as well agree.

Re: Rank the snubs
I believe these are the most commonly cited selection snubs under the modern criteria: 2010 Georgetown out, JHU in 2016 Rutgers out, Navy in* 2017 Army out, UNC in 2019 Cornell out, JHU in 2022 Notre Dame out, Harvard in * Everybody remembers 2016 for Hopkins getting in over Rutgers despite having ...

Re: 2022 D1 Selection Committee
And apologize if this has been answered but given Duke lost to three non top 20 teams how exactly was their RPI 7?

Re: USA Lacrosse Magazine Announces Division I Men's All-Americans
Curry on the second team? The disparity in talent and depth between A and M amazes me every year, but maybe it's just a classification issue. 53 points as a middie. He would be on first team if they did not include the guys who really should be considered attack this year in Handley and Bundy. Bund...

Re: Play in games
UVM agree. The other matchup is pretty interesting and I think could be tight but agree Hens prevail.

Re: 2022 D1 Selection Committee
the same metric ( rpi)that is being used to tell us the ivy teams are all great and thus wins over them are great, is being ignored when it comes to duke and ND. i dont think many people really think that brown/harvard/cornell would be favored in a game versus ND or duke, so that would be the eye te...

Re: POLL: How many Ivy teams win in Round 1 of the NCAA Tournament?
Penn over a very good Richmond team I see as the most likely win of the six Ivy games. My guess overall is 4-2.

Re: Tewaaraton Favorite?
It kind of stinks that it strictly is an offensive award. McElroy at Gtown is having one of the best seasons I’ve ever seen from a goalie, leading the NCAA top defense. If he doesn’t get invited this year, I don’t think a goalie will ever get invited. Yet another reason the sport we love constantly...

Re: 2022 D1 Selection Committee
If ND’s resume was let’s say Drexel’s, i think the conversation would be very different. It would probably go something like “they picked a bad year to beat a non tournament Duke 2x and lost to every tournament team they played. Great season but just not enough given lost to OSU head to head and Har...

https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/men-s-di-media-poll-notre-dame-is-no-4-but-not-in-ncaa-tournament/59590 If Notre Dame is #4 in the media poll before the tournament (based largely on speculation), why would they not be #4 after the tournament. Enough about the NCAA tourney committee. Who vote...

Re: 2022 D1 Selection Committe
Just a thought - how about a minimum RPI or other metric be put in place for a conference to get an AQ. You then get a much stronger field without expanding the total number of teams by growing the AL bids. Not sure why lacrosse has to follow the hoops model.

Re: 2022 D1 Selection Committe
Of the teams with a legit AL bid resume only 3 have a non top 20 loss - so most have zero. Brown and Yale with just 1 and then Duke with the 3 that have been discussed on this and other threads. I realize Duke’s RPI is high but having 3x the”bad losses” of anyone else being considered has to factor ...
