Re: Maryland 2024
I am very curious to see how those two Orange middies (#7, #8) will do when SU gets into its ACC schedule. Without them, MD probably wins going away. Better shooting/finishing for MD and there's no OT. I like that seven middies for UMD are getting regular runs, and also that Stobaugh was on and even...

Re: Maryland 2024
I agree that Erksa has "superstar potential." I don't think he has the sheer athletic ability that J Berhardt had. Plus, Bernhardt played on a team as a freshman that had a lot more bona fide scoring options. So, Erksa was kind of thrust into the fire. I still would like to see Erksa come ...

Re: Maryland 2024
Has anyone said anything nice about Nick Redd, especially the way he played in the first quarter? Was glad to see Murphy take that running overhand shot in the first quarter, too. Said to myself, this offense needs that kind of shot. Kelly needs to become a more frequent shooter and find ways to get...

Re: Maryland 2023
Couple thoughts in advance of tonight's contest. After rewatching the Hopkins game, it seemed like UMD had an opportunity in the first quarter to really open up some daylight, but poor execution kind of undid them. First, it seemed like Brennan was almost uninterested. First (bad) feed into Kelly wh...

Re: Maryland 2023
FWIW . . .except for a bit of a hiccup at the end of the game, I thought Brennan looked pretty good carrying the ball and sensing opportunities to dodge. Maybe that will help Kyle Long, who seemed caught between shooting and dishing on those last possessions after he seemed to have a step on his def...

Re: Maryland 2023
Totally agree on compressed defense. Yesterday was a bit reminiscent of pre-2022 Terp offense (minus Bernhardt), even all the way back to the days of Blye and Snyder-- lots of patient, secure ball movement, but not the kind of constant stress on a D that results from being comfortable taking the bal...
