Re: Brown 2024

Any chance that this process began last summer and now Brown is going through the motions? Cassease's decision to step away from Lehigh to take an assistant role on Lars's staff caused a lot of head scratching. That move makes a lot more sense if he gets handed the keys to Lars's old program / alma ...

Re: Coaching Carousel 2023 - D1

Breschi and Brecht being discussed in a hot-seat conversation after recent final 4 showing begs me to ask the question- does finishing in last place of a 5 team ACC and a 6 team Big 10 automatically make your seat hot?

Re: Denver Pioneers 2023

So if the next coach is not Matt Brown, then who? Sean Kirwan? Offensive coordinator that has had a lot of success. Sounds a lot like a slightly bigger version of Matt Brown. Jon Torpey? Former DU assistant that has had a lot of success at a mid major. Also has shown a desire to make a buck in the c...

Re: NCAA Considering adding an additional paid coach for lacrosse

Adding a paid position to staffs could be troublesome for current assistant coaches. Most staffs have a budget for assistants that the head coach is able to split as they see fit between the 2 paid positions. Adding another mouth to feed could take away some bread from the guys currently getting paid.

having a difficult time figuring out why Drexel and Towson would scrimmage each other. I find it strange that 2 teams from the same conference would schedule a Fall scrimmage. Anyone have any insight???

Nebraska Football. They were a juggernaut. There was a time where their willingness to invest as much as they possibly could into their program was enough to win them national championships and propel them into the mix as a national championship contender on an annual basis. TV revenue started to sp...

Does anyone know how many players that were selected on the original u-19 roster were cut to make room for the new additions (like Kirst) to the u-21 roster?

Re: Coaching Carousel-2022

3 D-Coordinators in three years for PSU. That’s a shame. Does there become a time when it’s not the coordinator? Pump the brakes. Toner left to become a head coach. His replacement, based on the fact that he is no longer with the program, wasn't the right fit. Tambroni does not have a reputation fo...

SJ Prep coach resigns with 2/3 weeks left in the season and they are in position to win and make it to the final 4. I hope screen writers are lined up to tell this story!!!

Re: Coaching Carousel-2022

I wouldn't consider it leverage in Kelleher's position. I am pretty sure St. Johns would be offering a salary twice what Manhattan could offer- and the budget for assistants is probably more than double.

Re: Ivy League 2022

There was a lot of talk that Covid (and the way things were handled by the administration) was going to kill the ivy's. Well- that clearly was not the case. The Ivy's had their strongest season (probably) in the league's storied history. Could it be possible that the ACC and Big 10 schools decided t...

Can anyone provide some insight about the disputes that took place between the SJU and LIU benches during their game on Saturday? Things looked pretty heated in the substitution box. A Gambler's thread

Now that we can legally gamble on college lacrosse games from our phone, I feel like a space to share insight on games could be beneficial. FanDuel has this (early) evening's Penn State vs Ohio State game as OSU -2.5 and the O/U at 25.5. My feeling is this game could go a lot of directions. OSU seem...

Re: Colonial Athletic Association 2022

Yeah Ryan taking 12 /14 shots a game is going to be sourly missed. Coach Tierney if any PRIDE will step down. He’s made a fortune and none nothing. He could not coach his son, kid should of been benched on more than one occasion. Hofstra lax will never rebound. SB and LiU will own Island. It’s all ...
