Re: Dear Fanlax Experts - Help and advice thread.
Had a Makita 2 stroke for years. Loved it, super powerful. With the exception of my Ariens snowblower, I'm all in on Makita batt-op yard equipment and the trimmer is decent . Doesn't match up as well with the gas powered, but gets it done. For the record, I have the boss yard in my neighborhood. Sp...

Re: World Soccer
Spurs 2 Arsenal 3 Some tough beaks for Spurs, but a boneheaded play by the GK Raya and a reckless foul by Rice made it a nervously close game. AS, did you think officials should have allowed a PK on Trossard's trip of Spurs No. 21? I'll tell you I did; clipped him, however unintentionally, on the l...

My favorite martini
Hayman’s Old Tom Gin & Dolin vermouth.
Silky smooth and delectable. Not pushing the limits on botanicals and making use of a great vermouth as one is supposed to do.
Up with a twist - stirred 40 times.

Re: World Soccer
Well, the Toffees will surely savor this win at Goodison Park. A long awaited win against the Reds and one that surely eliminates them from the title. Liverpool is just out of juice. Arsenal got their big win over Chelsea yesterday, but they’re going need City to falter for any chance. They were in...

Re: TV Broadcasts/Announcers/Production
Speaking of broadcasters, I'm beyond sick of Booker Corrigan continually plugging events run by Corrigan Sports every 5 minutes, no matter how irrelevant they are to what's happening in the game he's calling. Absolutely shameless and gross, but he seems to get a pass from everyone. And yet we have ...

Re: American Educational System
The son of a very close friend didn’t want to go to college after graduation from his high achieving high school outside Phila. He entered the Marines right after graduation. Did two stints, was a sniper and traveled the world teaching others to be a sniper. After the Marines he enrolled at Penn Sta...

Re: The Abortion Thread
Funny how all of the rabid abortion lovers are all people who have been born. You ever wonder if your parents ever contemplated aborting you? Would you have had a problem with that if they had done so? I'm only inquiring for a friend. Do you ever think what would have happened if you were born as E...

Eclipse - fact or fiction
Did nobody find the Eclipse 24 worth experiencing. I went to the Eclipse 17 in Nebraska and that was interesting though only a partial. I could stay home this time and see the total eclipse. Incredible experience to see. The total darkness happened so fast. Too cool. IMG_7370.jpeg IMG_7388.jpeg IMG_...

Anyone watch the Chelsea-MUFC game yesterday. Freezing rain here in NH, so I stayed home, pretended to work and watched this game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9bNt4V-M7o Pretty crazy finish. Man U looked pretty slick in taking the lead at the 67”, but nobody expected Chelsea to bag two goal so...

Record number eaten is 92. Kept Rhonda busy for nearly the whole three minutes. Some big hoss came in in the 70s and let the Cartwrights know who the biggest and baddest of 'em all is. Not thinkin' the big hoss was light on the syrup on the 92 either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNR1VL3TWZg Egg...

One of the sweet things about living in New York State Not only having access to outstanding local maple syrup, but having a place like Cartwright’s Maple Tree Inn, located in Angelica, Allegany County. Only open for the several weeks during maple season. Folks pack this place as $10.95 gets you 2 ...

Roasted is better, but I prefer to steam beets for pure ease. Cut into cubes with tomatoes, cucumbers with a disc of goat cheese dressed with balsamic vinegar and OO.
