Re: Michigan 2023
The thing is, even with that tough schedule, Michigan has as much, if not more, overall talent than a majority of the other teams. personally, i think one of the major problems has been recruiting. tough to say how much falls on the coaches as it's in the hinterland and not established as a blueblo...

Re: Michigan 2023
Michigan has a brand new offensive coordinator. He will likely need some time to compete in the Big 10. The loss of Turri to St John’s is a problem. I thought it was your opinion that the asst coaches were the problem in Michigan? That they weren't on par with the rest of the BigTen assistants. Not...

Re: Michigan 2023
For those of you who haven't seen, Inside Lacrosse's Terry Foy came out with a very early Top 20. And Michigan and Utah are in a tie for #20, with the Wolverines getting the slight edge. Both had very young teams in 2022 and have lots of talent returning. The teams ahead of Michigan are Ohio State,...

Re: Michigan 2023
There are only 11 schools in the US News rankings ahead of Michigan that have D1 lacrosse. Several have much less to offer in terms of “school - life” balance. Michigan has to be in the top 5 to 10 of any rational family looking at a place for their highly performing lacrosse child. They have landed...

uh-oh........its baaaaack: Brown starting Sh_t again. https://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1437633432838983680 https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E_N_aPNXMAIFMqF?format=jpg&name=large Brown is a hopeless institution. I say this notwithstanding that I have had family members graduate from Brown. God bles...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
I heard from a kid in the program that milliman is not connecting well with older guys from petro's reign.... seems like there are petro guys and milliman guys This is common. My guess is that the kids not connecting aren’t playing. That’s usually how it goes. Not necessarily. Some kids who are pla...

60 is a cluster. Breschi will have lots of players and their parents PO’d about the $$ they have spent on another year at Chapel Hill. Or, he will alienate a bunch of junior players he cannot afford to alienate. Hopefully, Breschi is reading up on customer service satisfaction techniques!

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
There are too many posts on this thread for me to read, so apologies in advance of the same sentiment has been stated—here goes.
I think it is shameful the way Epstein’s career seems to have been ended by the new staff. He’s more Hopkins than any of them. Terrible in my view.

Re: Michigan 2023
It’s going to be tough. Michigan’s issue is coaching. What makes you say that? I've yet to a starting lineup at UMich that is better than Rutgers, UMd, O State, etc. To my eyes, it's not a close call. That’s on the coach. He’s running the program. There have been and are some really fine players in...

Re: Big Ten 2023
I've been enjoying the fact that Maryland's departure from the ACC is what triggered a series of really bad decisions by ACC members. Yeah I've been enjoying this as well as a Terps fan. The smugness of the ACC just blew right up in its face. I know there was some consternation amongst older Maryla...

Re: Notre Dame Extorts NBC and Big12
Notre Dame basically named its price to remain with NBC: $75 million a year. That’s five times the current $15 million (technically, it’s currently $22 million because the existing deal backloaded payments, but what’s a few million?). https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/notre-dame-targe...

I would just de-link college football from schools. Make the NFL pay for their own farm league. Players wouldn...

Re: Transfer Portal 2023
Wow so if ur a grad student and don't get picked up you can't go back to ur old school and play? They can at least stay in the portal until after the fall right? It all depends on you and your relationship with the coach and the school rules. The ivy’s you can’t go back because that is how they rol...

Re: Transfer Portal 2023
Noah Daniels (DM) Mount Saint Mary’s—> Rutgers. Big pick up for the Scarlet Knights. Daniels...not a middling D Mid. Actually an excellent two-way middie. Great pick up. He is a bit of a hammer at times. Can get called for the occasional excessive abuse charge. :D From Mt St Mary’s to Rutgers and B...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
Crawley probably has the tougher job, although the expectations and standards are so high at Maryland right now it's going to be tough to do better for their new guy. The athletic has some updates speculating on the future of the big ten. Notre Dame is the first and most important domino to fall. I...

Re: Michigan 2023
Michigan has a lot to offer. . This is the part you keep forgetting: so does every School in the top 20. Yes. But I followed that with "Michigan doesn't sell itself", didn't I? Michigan has been recruiting very well for sometime. And kudos to Coaches Paul and Conry for that. But all excus...

Re: Big Ten 2023
It'd be pretty cool to play the B1G lacrosse tournaments in the Rose Bowl. Just have to stage it at least 2 weeks before NCAA's so there's time to recover from the travel. I can already see the steam coming out of Tillmans ears when that gets suggested in a B1G meeting. Tillman normally does not at...
