It was a good game! Personally I think both Wm Smith and Ithaca play a pretty weak schedule compared to the other top
D3 schools so it’s a little hard to gauge them. I’d love to see them challenge themselves by playing more ranked opponents outside of conference play.

Did they have all their regulars? No Covid sit outs?

# 5 Wm Smith lost big to Salisbury this week. I’d expect their ranking to take hit too.

Got a chance to go to today’s game. Tremendous effort all around. One of the best parts for me was the huge turnout. I’ve never seen a women’s game with that kind of crowd, especially a regular season game. Lots of BC and UNC fans and lots of young girls. It was just a great feel all around.

Anyone know the origin of the mens D3 Mustang Classic? It looks like a great weekend with lots of competitive match-ups.

It’d be great to see some of the top D3 women’s programs come together early in the season for something similar.

St. Mary’s MD beat a ranked Messiah yesterday in OT.

Couple interesting results today. Haverford handily over CNU. Rogers Williams over Colby, who just beat Tufts. Salisbury beat Gettysburg by more than I was expecting.

These Rankings are based on each team's *Three Best Wins* and *Three Worst Losses*. Based on head-to-head results, several teams should be higher, several should be lower, but that's not how these rankings work. Yes sorry got the date wrong there. Most NESCACs I saw start that 3/5. Which then led me to compare schedules. Not an exhaustive survey but the couple NESCAC teams I looked had 15 regular season games on their calendars. Whereas other schools have between 16-18 games.

And just for a heads up on next week’s list, I believe most NESCACs don’t start games until the weekend of 3/5.

How did the Midd v York game come up? A spring break game?

Univ of Hartford wlax team is going from D1 to D3 so we will see how that goes. Very interesting. It’s always seemed to me that some of the lower tier D1 women’s programs would do better in D2. More opportunity for post season play. More balanced competition.
