Re: The stick
Those plays where the D is throwing great checks and it just won’t come out are indeed frustrating and annoying. But the overall problem with the carping about all of the offensive advantages these days, aside from the very strong old men shouting at clouds vibe, is game scores. Despite now playing ...

Re: NESCAC
My problem are the records. Would Jude Brown be the all time leading scorer with 14 extra games under his belt. In theory if there are 23 games in a season including the NC, that would extrapolate out to 92 games. 14 extra games would translate to a lot more points. You take those away and Jude Bro...

Buchner will have two years left for football and lacrosse and he’s going to be enrolling in the spring for his MBA Apparently official. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/40251031/ex-notre-dame-qb-buchner-back-team-wide-receiver I continue to question his durability. Will be glad to ...

Re: Virginia 2025
Is the younger Millon coming in this year or the following? That kid might break into the lineup. Sunderland's injuries have slowed his development for sure. Year after As far as Sunderland goes, I just don't think he has the size. If you're gonna weigh what that dude does, you gotta be like Joey S...

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024
I’m Not smart enough to decipher how accurate goalie stats are in telling us who the hardest Guy to score on is. Love to hear from players who shoot on these guys in games and who they think is best stopper. In a few times seeing entenman up close , he has a unique style. Does not stand tall. He cr...

Re: Notre Dame 2024
Pokorny last year played on the worst Darien team in 10+ years so so he received a LOT of defensive attention. Being Darien, they still played an extremely tough schedule so he had many games where he was the focus of multiple top tier D1 poles. This year, he would have had some more room to operate...

It was my understanding about the self release that the D3 player's current school would not be advised of the self release unless they give the potential transferring college or university permission to notify their current institution of this permission to contact. Can anyone confirm? I was under...

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024
10th best save percentage in D1 this year and you're the first goalie to get the Tewy? 😂😂 yea, .034 diff between 1 and 10 is monstrous. Yes actually. If he is to be the first goalie EVER to win, he should be absolutely dominant. No one is ever going to mention Entenmann in discussions of bes...

Re: Championship-ND Vs. MD On Monday, 05/27, At 12:00 PM
Amazingly he is up to 40%, played actually well in second half but too late That’s a deceptive end of game statistic. Oh, absolutely, just meant that playing another goalie in th second half wouldn’t have matter as Macnaney was actually almost 70% in the second half. Time to make a move was in the ...

Re: Championship-ND Vs. MD On Monday, 05/27, At 12:00 PM
Tewey watch? Hmm, Pat Kav with 5 points so far against the USILA player of the year in Enners Award winner Zappitello (5 assists -- very unselfish performance), Entenmann with 9 saves (close to 70%). Not sure which way the Tewey will go but I am thinking Entenmann if he gets a couple more saves, ev...

Shame after all wait this is a no contest. Not shocking given the Maryland of most of the year but had hoped that they would play them tighter given past few games.

It’s been an impressive year Blaine. It’s hard to be as wrong about something as you have been about these times but I’m sure you will give it lots of thought over the offseason. Hmmm, you appear to have figured me out. Very impresssive. Almost as impressive as me predicting Middleburg’s poor sched...

Just fantastic, top level lacrosse. Who has the depth? Who has the conditioning? Winner of the game will be the one who tires last.

Re: SF #6 Virginia vs #7 Maryland Saturday @2:30
The defense's performance was sublime. 39 shots with just 15 on goal for UVA. They just couldn't win match ups. Like 2022, Maryland beat UVA at it's own game. They forced UVA into 6v6 but then got 3 or 4 goals in transition themselves. Because UVA shot so poorly, they had fewer chances to run that ...

Barlow will cruise through their bracket. I think Hand has a much harder road to the final. Really Ellington, Masuk/North Haven and Brookfiled/ RHAM? - Running clock both games IMHO Barlow gets Berlin, Foran and East Lyme. They are both cake but it’s nice that Hand isn’t a 15 seed as they would hav...

Brackets are out at CIAC LL - 17 teams; 1 play-in LL - - 22 teams - 6 play-ins M - 16 teams no play-ins S - 13 teams no play-ins Daniel Hand (7-9) is the 1 seed in M I think you would be hard pressed to find a coach in the M tourney who isn’t glad they are #1, except I guess Barlow who prefer they ...

Re: New England West 2024
JAP, thank you for that detailed summary. The only error is Taft isn't ranked #1, but I'm still formulating my argument for that case. IMO, Brunswick is a school bound and determined to win a National championship. They're located well to achieve that, and they apparently have committed the resourc...
