Re: Delaware 2024
The Blue Hens are 6-2 versus Hofstra since DeLuca took over at UD. However, both of those losses were brutal for the Hens. In 2021 Delaware was 7-1 in conference and 10-2 overall when they faced Hofstra in the first round of the CAAs at Hofstra (for some reason) when they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker. H...

Re: Delaware 2024
The Fogo (Morris) stats are a little misleading. 1-5 vs Penn. Had success vs less talented teams . And, didn’t play vs Michigan, where Premtaj was something like 5-24. Syracuse averages 50 shots a game, and wins 64% at the X. The question is can Delaware keep up? SU has been on spring break this we...

History This Saturday afternoon Hen’s sophomore Brendan Powers will head down to Chantilly Virginia to avenge the back-to-back losses that his dad Randy suffered at the hands of his hometown Syracuse Orangemen in 1985 and 1986. Re: Rutgers 2024
Ross Scott crossed a big milestone. 100 goals scored puts him in an elite class of lacrosse player. Kudos to him for such an accomplishment. Danny Maltz just passed that milestone too. Shane Knobloch has to be close to 100 as well. I would guess he's within 10-15. Very impressive for a midfielder. ...

Re: Delaware 2024
Delaware won at least 97% of the face offs. That an enormous advantage. It is unlikely that they will have that advantage again. The Monmouth defense was good, especially given that they literally had no rest. JP Ward was nearly erased. Delaware kept their starting attack in the game despite a near...

Re: Delaware 2024
Curious how you think Delaware did against Monmouth. It was a closer game in the first half than I expected. Robinson took some wild shots and JP Ward seemed frustrated. Aside from the Hens turning the ball over on each of its first 5 possessions, the game went exactly like I thought it would. Monm...

Re: CAA 2024
CAA is very mediocre this year. Most improved team is Towson, by far. Offensively they are figuring things out. DeMaio has transformed his game entirely. Instead of shooting every single time he touches the ball, he has become the team’s QB. He’s not even recognizable as the same player. Opens up th...

Re: Villanova 2024
. The Nova-UPenn game at Villanova yesterday lived up to the expectations of this great rivalry, despite the rain that picked up in the fourth quarter. True to form, Penn’s win yesterday tied this match-up at 5-5 in the past ten meetings. Watching the game live, both teams appeared evenly matched o...

Re: Delaware 2024
This Saturday Delaware heads up the Jersey Shore to play Monmouth University (3-2) for the seventh time. The Hens are 6-0 versus the Hawks all-time with the UD outscoring Monmouth 46-14 in the last three outings. Monmouth brings a 3-2 record to Saturday’s match-up with wins over 0-6 Mt. St. Mary’s, ...

Re: UNC 2024
UNC is #21 in RPI right now. According to Lax Ref's tool, beating Wagner drops them to #29. Of course, that does not factor in any other results. But in a vacuum, that game by itself would drop the Heels 8 spots right now. As much as it pains me, I agree with Quint. This schedule makes absolutely n...

Re: Navy 2024
Now that Sisselberger is no longer at Lehigh, the Mids should have a major upper hand for the next few years at the Faceoff X with the emergence of Hayashi. I predict Navy by 4-5 goals (assuming the team that beat BU last week shows up again). I have a question and I am not trying to be a smartass....

Re: CAA 2024
Unfortunately so far, few or really maybe one “signature” win(s) among the CAA teams, Tigers over Navy probably, Hens against Penn, Drexel and Villanova - close, but didn’t pull out either game. The days of at-large bids from the CAA are long gone. These OOC games serve only to help these teams get...

Re: Georgetown 2024
The Hoyas were sleepwalking in the first half against a very mediocre High Point squad. I was expecting a 9-10 goal victory over the Panthers even on the road. Georgetown can’t do that against Denver if they expect to win the Big East again. That won’t cut it. Good defensive effort in the second hal...

Re: ivy league 2024
Huge Quaker victory! The team played super hard. A lot of young players stepping up. Good for Murph and Co. Then Princeton smokes UNc. Great night for the League. Will be a huge help with RPI of the League all year, assuming Duke and UNCbeat some ACC schools. I’m not sure that Duke has ever had to ...

Tomorrow the Delaware Blue Hens meet up with the Michigan Wolverines for the 7th time. UD and the Big Blue have split the first six matchups with the cumulative score adding up to 66-69 in favor of Michigan. In last year’s game the Hens had all the momentum early and looked upstoppable with a 9-4 le...
