Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
i dont know why in this instance we are dancing around the name - Wilkins Dismuke posted on his own recruiting video - now well over 10 years ago - that his GPA was 2.7. So its relevance to any discussion now is very questionable. Again, I think '16 is correct - no real impact on reinstating standa...

https://hub.jhu.edu/2024/08/16/undergrad-admissions-standardized-test-requirement/ About time. Might make recruiting harder, however. This existed during the entire Petro era and the team did just fine, especially at the outset. One of things you learn fast at Hopkins is that while a lot of athlete...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
Pat Stevens has the Jays #9 in his "way early" 2025 rankings: https://www.usalacrosse.com/magazine/college/men/way-early-rankings-nos-10-6-division-i-men Obviously this is all just for fun and meant to generate clicks/discussion — like what I am about to do. So from that standpoint, good ...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
Stickler had a nice shot in those IL all star game clips. Felt like 2024 year we saw less transition scoring from the defense. I remember PM discussed the reasoning behind it and 51 maybe had a post or two on it. Wonder if it changes this year. Thought some kids-Carson Brown, Kaufman maybe had some...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
The two California defensemen got good writeups from IL: Graham Kaestner, D, Sacred Heart (Calif.), ADVNC | Johns Hopkins Eval Score: 89 Who else to end the lengthy scoring drought from early on in the second quarter to early in the third frame but Graham Kaestner? With his left hand, no less! Kaes...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
On the surface - your questions are valid and reasonable. It will take some time for all this to shake out but I think an overriding principle here is lacrosse is one of many niche sports that they had to deal with because simply - it's there - but I think the over-riding premise of the article wil...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
https://x.com/kevbrown89/status/1817614480223748583 Luke Stickler has a cannon of a shot. Did the other recruits do anything in the game? I just saw the Kevin Brown (who works for IL tweet) about stickler. I leave recruiting to 16, 51 and those of you who follow it. Boyle was on campus after I grad...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
Hopkins carried what, 60 kids this year? What 12 are you cutting to get to 48? Much less wiggle room when building a roster. They won't have to cut 12. What matters is roster size at the end of next season, assuming the new limit is enforced. They're on track to have about 53 barring transfers in o...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
Scholarships will likely exacerbate the haves and have nots. But roster limits will be interesting to watch. Especially coming off of these massively bloated covid-eligibility rosters. Boyle elevated to interim HC at Drexel.
That's 2 young blue jays getting d1 jobs this year.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
51 has crushed the roster sizes for years. Big day for him. I think the 07 class of schwartzman et al had 9 or 10 members total in it. Lot of questions -when does this start -are current kids on the roster/recruits grandfathered in -does this actually change anything for Hopkins because of the bloom...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
Not even worth the words, 51. "3-5 kids minimum" are going to transfer to High Point? I mean, all you can really do is laugh. This is not news but Bauer is officially back, per team's Instagram. As the most veteran returning contributor on the offensive end, wouldn't be surprised if he's ...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025
Xanders says crawley has his first transfer-a kid from army with a few years remaining. I could see crawley going to hpu being a good thing for some kids at Hopkins that PM didn't believe had a future at the school and were looking for a place where they had some familiarity. I have sincere doubts ...
