Re: Hobart 2024
Im not saying don't play against the best teams. i'm just saying you might not look as good. I think strength of schedule probably attracts some recruits. Like this one? 1998 Hobart Lacrosse Schedule Season Record Overall 8-5 PCT .615 Conf 0-0 PCT .000 Streak L5 Home 3-1 Away 3-3 Neutral 2-1 Schedu...

Re: Hobart 2024
A team I believe we could relate to is a 2008-2012 Albany squad. They were at or below .500 each year in that span until they struck gold in recruiting the Thompsons and later on Blaze Riorden, Connor Fields. Those players were well-known in high school but Hobart has much more to offer than Albany...

Re: Hobart 2024
I dont shade people from IL often, but when I do its because they clearly dont know ball... The fact that Patterson isnt listed as a top 40 freshman is criminal. More pts than many kids on worse teams that are on the list ... sad! If somebody knows Kevin Brown from IL ... feel free to send me his #...

Re: TV Broadcasts/Announcers/Production
Yes, the fact that so many games are viewable now is amazing. I'm old enough to remember being out here on the West Coast, and my only source of lax info was a short list of scores in the Sunday New York Times at the library. And I walked miles through snow to school too! NY Times covered lac...

You guys will be very happy with Stillwell...great field sense and tough as nails....a year or two in weight room and he will be exactly what you guys need at attack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2c_T_0o53-Q https://youtu.be/2c_T_0o53-Q The kid looks like he can really rip it without a big wind up

Re: Hobart 2024
And also, do you start to see Hobart and A-10 teams incoming freshmen being picked for these HS Senior summer all star teams ? I noted that Villanova’s incoming freshmen made a solid name for himself this summer, but that kid had legacy, name recognition going for him. And that is an interesting is...

Re: NCAA reorg imminent
https://athlonsports.com/college-football/big-ten-expansion-rumors-clemson-florida-state-oregon-washington may find out soon if fsu and clemson have the stones. I still don’t see the value in FSU long term. Clemson is kind of in the Greenville MSA, growing but still not a major market and if Dabo s...
Georgia has 11mm but then again we’re reading Pete Brown-he doesn’t count SE florida he’s already said numerous times.
Yes typo.. Half the population. Florida is big enough for two mega conference teams.
Some interesting thoughts . . . The Sunshine State Conference has a V...

Coaching turnover on the defensive side of the ball is troubling. He came in with a big reputation but we still gave up way too many goals.oldbartman wrote: ↑Sat Jun 10, 2023 6:08 pm Just saw a photo of Coach Fisher at one of the early summer recruiting tourneys. Forget which one..

Re: Transfer Portal 2024
Hearing that Amherst's Brock Gonzalez, (St Thomas-Ft Lauderdale) is transferring to Duke
Xanders has Vermont's Jackson Canfield going to Maryland to reunite with Jake Bernhardt, who recruited him to Vermont. This guy is arguably the best LSM Florida (Bishop Moore) ever produced and will open eyes.

Re: Hobart 2023
5 minutes to go and down 20-13. Disheartening. You can see it in the body language out there. It's not a lack of desire, nor the effort physically. Jump out early to the 4-0 lead and again we can't handle prosperity. There certainly looks like a mental fragility; kind of a 'here we go again'. Shea i...

Re: Hobart 2023
It seems the entire season, the communication on defense has gotten worse. When it's one on one, we seem to handle teams well, but the two-man game gives us fits and has all year. We seem to end up running around more than other teams and that has got to get back to communicating. How many times aft...

Re: Hobart 2023
We're down to about 6 posters. Pretty sad that what I would once call the "Hobart faithful" have disappeared/given up. I get this was a transition season. Just thought I would see a better effort/game plan (ex the St. Joes game) this season. There are only 2 games to remedy this. All of u...

Re: Long Island 2023
I'd actually say IL is great for covering games in the MIAA/D.C. prep schools or the NE prep schools. They tend to ignore the rest of the country or only pay fleeting attention. For example, they recently had a large write-up on Brunswick detailing how this year's team is the clearly the be...

Florida's St. Thomas Aquinas goes north to Massapequa (the STA coach's alma mater) and knocks them off in OT 12-11
That's a great win for a South Florida team
