Re: Cornell 2024

That was just a frustrating game and somewhat ugly game. When the offense was clicking early, the defense (SSDMs) was struggling, Tully was not seeing the ball, and Penn was winning face offs. When the defense settled down, Psylos started winning draws, and Tully came on, the offense went stagnant....

Re: Yale 2024

A beautiful day in Brunoville after a long stretch of bad weather up this way. Made the ride up from NYC and Yale might it worth the trip. By far the most complete game of the season, with the defense looking more disciplined and cohesive than they have all season. I attribute part of that to Yale ...

Re: NCAC 2024

... They miss Butler! One of the best finishers ever to play at Denison. 185 goals (4 short of all time record) and in just 3 years! Now he was “a lefty finisher” who could ping the corners or quick stick on the crease. Loved watching that 2017 team! Hello Ned, good to see you back. Yes, that 2017 ...

Re: World Soccer

There are people who say that soccer is boring, that there isn't enough scoring. So it's a shame that yesterday's Man City v Arsenal game was shown live on NBC, because it was boring, without any scoring. Well, truth be told, I can say only that the first half was boring, because I didn't bother wat...

Re: World Soccer

Yep, the Liverpool game started much like the Tottenham game yesterday, with the underdog visitors scoring an early surprise goal. I think Liverpool will find a way to win. Quite an amazing title race!

Re: World Soccer

So, for the four of us, who do you have in the Gunner-City match Sunday at City? This is apparently the first time in 10 years that only one point separates the top three after 28 games, with Liverpool (playing Brighton at Anfield on Sunday) second. Ummm, I think Liverpool will beat Brighton. Xabi ...

Re: Yale 2024

Congatulations to Matt Brandau on becoming Yale's all-time leading goalscorer. Brandau is currently on 177 goals, surpassing Ben Reeves's 174 goals. With Leo and Lyons missing this season through injury, Brandau has stepped up admirably, always dishing out plenty of assists. Today, he had 4 goals an...

FOGO Mac Rodriguez was just added to the Tewaaraton Watch List. Well deserved! Of course, if TD Ierlan didn't win the Tewy in 2019, the probablity of Rodri winning it can be assumed to be essentially 0%. https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/tewaaraton-adds-seven-men-13-women-to-2024-watch-lists/62...

Because they found an Eastern school they could beat 11-5, obviously!

Re: Yale 2024

Yale got a bit of a breather tonight, handling Le Moyne fairly easily after a bit of a slow first period. Nice to see some additional faces out on the field, including Brody Coleman, whom I think has had to battle some injuries, and there was a fair amount of second-half time for first-years Matt H...

Re: Best Examples Of DI Coaches Who Do More With Less?

Mason Poli has done a good job building up the Quinnipiac program. Gradual improvement up through this year's undefeated start; has now beat Brown two years in a row. Getting some nice institutional support from the U's powers that be.

Re: NCAC 2024

York (2-6) at Denison (4-4) on Friday, 3/29 (4PM) might be one of the more interesting out-of-conference games left this season.... Both these teams are perennial Top 20 teams that played very ambitious out-of-conference schedules this year, and came away with mostly losses that did nothing to embe...

Re: Cornell 2024

Congratulations to Cornell and its faithful for the Big Red's great start to conference play. Next weekend's game at Penn should be another good one, with major implications for who gets to host the ILT. I know there was a bit of despair after the Penn State game, but the Big Red team is really comi...
