Re: Ivy League 2025

I like the coaching overhaul being made by Brown and the hiring of Ajax Zapitello by Dartmouth. After a disappointing end to the 2024 season, the Ivies in 2025 face one final year of seeing their graduates play for ACC and Big 10 teams. For Yale fans, that will mean seeing Monfort and 2024 Eli capta...

I work with an Englishman, life-long fan. He dislikes VAR as much as I do.

VAR itself is neutral. The EPL has done a ridiculously bad job of employing it, and has vowed to improve.

Re: Yale 2025

With Matt Brandau, Jack Ocken, Thomas Bragg and a few other pre-Covid Bulldogs having (finally) graduated, the 2025 Yale roster will include no players who were part of a team that competed on Memorial Day for the NCAA national championship. I'm not saying that team culture is as important as a soli...

Re: TV Broadcasts/Announcers/Production

You can promote the game by just presenting/reporting the game. These guys pump "memes", whether their own or prompted by espn IDK. It's not out of the ordinary: "up close and personal", or the NBA for years being (in)famous for focusing on stars/personalities over the sport. It...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2025

Is Hackler a SSDM or an offensive middie? 16 goals would seem to suggest the latter Believe he's more of an SSDM, but that he was needed to play a lot of offense this year due to Yale's injuries on that end. Seems to be one of an increasingly rare breed who can play both ends well. My guess is he's...

Terps needed that goal. Bounces off the slick grass tough for goalies.

They move the game ahead by an hour because of the weather, then have a weather delay. Brilliant.

Re: Championship-ND Vs. MD On Monday, 05/27, At 12:00 PM

Yes, the earlier start time favors the team that played the first semi, ND (and it seems when the Terps reach the Final Four, they generally play the second semi). But might the mucky field conditions caused by rain on natural grass generally equalize the odds between the favorite and the underdog?

I'm ready to admit I was incorrect earlier; Tillman sure looks like The Best Coach. Let's see what he can do Monday against the overwhelming favorites.

No matter how much they promote the PLL, I won't be watching it.

That was a good close-up of Lars' face after Burlace's goal.

they don't even know entenmann owned goaled himself.
Even if they knew, I'm not sure they'd say.

Re: Next Programs To Win National Titles For The First Time?

Biased but am going with Brown and the terrific new head coach former head coach at High Point. Money endowment and interest is there - NIL or the like. New indoor facility being built. Brown is a solid choice. Penn State is an old favorite, although Tambroni has yet to win the big one. People have...
