Re: Them vs. U.S. - The Two Americas ...
... or just read the research article. ...i did. hmmm It ain't like they weren't "included". But it's a very small fraction of the overall population, so I think your hypothesis of major impact falls flat before takeoff. Just 1% of adults serve in military and only 15% of those see active...

Re: MIAA "A" Conference 2024
Yes, Lawrenceville is a very different sort of school than MIAA schools. Sounds like, not for long... McDonogh is the only physical plant, and general academic aspirations, that could potentially play in that PG prep school league. But they could take that path. Already coed. BL is just trying to g...

Re: MIAA "A" Conference 2024
I highly doubt Coach Posner would've accepted the L'ville coaching position without L'ville being a boarding school. And, if he did (which I doubt he would've), there's no way L'ville would be winning like they're currently winning. Coach Posner needs his Canucks and other out-of-towners. And... Th...

Re: MIAA "A" Conference 2024
No excuse. It is what it is. Boarding extends the demographics. It's reality. Those two schools and teams are the most talented. But, different from all other programs in the MIAA A Conference. I'm not so sure that we can simplify that way. It was just a heartbeat ago that we were were worried that...

Re: Them vs. U.S. - The Two Americas ...
College educated Americans live on average 8.5 years longer than those without college degrees. No other "wealthy nation" experiences this phenomenon. What I found interesting is that nothing in this entire paper referenced military. I even queried the term military, war, defense.....no m...

Re: MIAA "A" Conference 2024
... with BL building a boarding place, what will be impact if BL ramps it up with OOS players. Will McD follow and who else. I have no clue. And would it be so bad if they do? I have no allegiance to any of the MIAA schools. I just like good lacrosse. If the lacrosse is better, why not be ok with t...

Re: MIAA "A" Conference 2024
Several MIAA schools have boarding options, no? St. Paul's School, McDonogh School, Boys' Latin, Gilman School, John Carroll, Loyola Blakefield, Mount Saint Joseph. Or maybe I'm wrong. I know for a fact that Gilman has no boarding option and hasn't had one for at least 60 years. In the Poggi era th...

Re: Derogatory Posts
It's a thorny topic, for sure. On the one hand, we should not encourage the use of this largely anonymous forum to actually hurt people with mistruths. On the other, serious issues deserve serious discussion and reliance solely on public press has repeatedly proven insufficient across many sports. ...

I can see the future...2025..another cupcake season for a cupcake league yawn. dude, you just got here. this is a lacrosse community site. we don't all get along all the time, but we try to at least be civil most of the time and occasionally have something to add. not for nothing, but you're about ...

The New Mexico factor The current oil boom isn’t due to the administration’s policies — or any former president’s agenda, experts say. It’s the result of an oil boom in New Mexico. Re: CAA 2025
Will the Hens be playing in the CAA next year? Hens have one more year in CAA. Most people have them moving to Atlantic 10. It’s either there or America East I would guess. They’d make either of those conferences stronger. Next year will be rebuilding year for UD. Some nice returning young players ...

Re: All Americans 2024
At the end of the day USILA list is the one that matters anyway. Why? Submitted by college coaches and goes to a committee. Not a bunch of guys who have never played college lacrosse. USILA also gives out the Enners, Schmeisser, etc. it’s the “official” list Do you think USILA is above the politics...

How is the law against voting if you are not a US citizen enforced ? How do you verify the citizenship of a voter ? You accept the word of the prospective voter It's a law that exists in theory but can't currently be enforced. If an airline passenger boards an airplane in Baltimore or Cleveland, th...
