Re: Brown 2024

If Brown beats Dartmouth they cannot be eliminated this week, regardless of Princeton/Penn outcome. If Princeton beats Penn this week, Brown will need them to lose to Yale next week. Princeton/Yale game on 4/27 is at noon, while Harvard/Brown is at 3:30p. Stakes will be clear. If Princeton beats Yal...

Re: Notre Dame 2024

Add Thomas Porell to your list Doc. He was the most physical, athletic middie I saw anywhere on the '22 club circuit. I hope he's healthy, was plagued with football injuries at times in HS. If so I have no doubt he'll be an impact player for the Irish.

Re: Notre Dame 2023

Having seen quite a bit of Thomas Porell in HS I thought he was a lock to see meaningful minutes as a freshman, but just noticed he hasn't played at all. Was he hurt and/or redshirted? An absolute freak of an athlete, thought at a minimum he'd get consistent run at SSDM.

Re: Brown 2023

The only other team/group at Brown at risk of receiving such harsh punishment for noise violations is the men's hockey team.

Re: Brown 2023

Just listened to the podcast clip addressing the suspension, sounds like IL is looking into it further and should have an update/story online sometime this week. Tough stretch without them: UNC, Harvard, UMass, Nova, Princeton

Even better when its a Samari with the game to match the name! Elite multi-sport athlete whose lax skills are still a bit raw, but he'll be in the SSDM mix in no time.

Re: Brown 2023

2023 roster posted: only 4 freshmen, none of the transfer names, so someone may have hit 'publish' prematurely. 🤷🏻 No '23 schedule yet. The four freshman they list are the four they "welcomed" yesterday via Twitter/Instagram. I assume they'll continue to welcome the other freshman/transfe...

Re: Class of 2024 Recruiting

Question for those in the know of modern recruiting. How much conversation is happening between college coaches/recruiters and club or high school coaches before 9/1? Say UVA has really liked a kid all spring and summer. Has this been communicated through back channels or is a midnight text from La...

Pretty sure any school hosting a game on alumni day plays lowest available seed. ;)

Re: ISL

I thought I'd heard BH was hosting semis regardless of who makes it, but that may not be the case. Apparently there's a clause in the playoff rules stating any school hosting an alumni weekend event on that day is entitled to a home game, should they be playing. As it turns out the school whose team...

Re: ISL

I heard St. George's/Rivers were trying to reschedule for Mon, not sure if that's finalized. BH/Rivers won't happen. Sucks for all involved. I'm sure BH would have welcomed a competitive game before the playoffs, and I don't doubt that Rivers was looking forward to trying to take them down. It will ...

Re: ISL

lack of cohesion for BH early may be partially due to not having a scrimmage leading up to their first couple of games vs tough opponents. Hard to sort out rotations on the fly against a team like Deerfield, yet it was a one goal game early in the 4th. BH will be fine.

Re: ISL

I'm hearing the Taft @ Belmont Hill scrimmage slated for Sat is not happening, with Taft playing @ Darien instead according to their schedule. Not sure where that leaves BH as far as a tune-up before the opener with Deerfield next Wed.

Re: ISL

Figler at 90 is absurd. Keep in mind though that BostonLax is run by Laxachusetts guys, and Figler played for 3D. There will be no shortage of shamrock helmets at the top of the rankings. Fun list but take it with a grain of salt.

Re: ISL

https://www.laxjournal.com/coaches-survey-whos-the-most-impressive-player-in-the-isl/ Each coach names the most impressive imposing player in the ISL and why. I'm a bit surprised that nobody said Aidan Maguire (mid) from Seb's. The answers suggest the question wasn’t posed as straight-up as “who’s ...
