Re: Semifinal Two -- Syracuse v. BC
Mashewske's prowess on the draw hasn't impeded BC thus far this season. The regular season OT loss had Syracuse winning the draw 14 to 11 with 8 for Mashewske. The 15-8 ACC playoff loss had Syracuse winning the draw 18 to 9 with 12 to Mashewske.

Re: The ACC is considering kicking teams out!
Source: How long can WLax survive at these schools? Big teams with very little revenue don't do well when it's time to cut budgets. BC's facilities look like a dumpster fire already BC's women's lacrosse facilities are by no means state of the art but they're a far cry from "dumpster fire"...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GN2FNnlXUAIqRkR?format=jpg&name=small 😐 Okay okay. My Penn team was a little bit cocky. Every concern I had with Penn this year became an issue in their game against Northwestern. I don't think the defense was the issue. It was just they were playing defense for majo...

Seriously, who in the sport or in politics or in education or... should be entirely off limits to critique? If a critique seems not based in more than hyperbole, it tends to fall flat on its own lack of substance. Surely, if a critique is blatantly meritless, other participants will say so. If some...

Re: Semifinal One -- Florida v. NU
All the top teams Florida defeated this year were either having a bad year by their standards (JMU, Maryland), decimated by injuries (North Carolina), or just weren't that great a team in the end (Princeton, Virginia). They haven't played a close game in months and they certainly haven't played any...

Re: Semifinal One -- Florida v. NU
Ten-day forecast calling for mostly cloudy skies in the mid-80s with variable winds at this point. Doesn't sound like that serious of a weather game--especially if the sun is obscured by clouds.

Re: Semifinal Two -- Syracuse v. BC
Are we so sure, so literally solidified that Florida cannot pull off this upset? I for one never thought Florida would make it this far but in watching the last couple of games . I think they may be able to do it and that would be something. For all intents and purposes--Yes. No way they pull the u...

Re: Derogatory Posts
Where is it written that disagreements of opinion must necessarily descend into personal insults? Wasn't that all covered back when we carried our Speed Racer lunch boxes to grade school?

Re: Semifinal Two -- Syracuse v. BC
Should be a sky high intensity game. The unfortunate side effect will be that neither team will have enough gas left in the tank when they're done with each other to finish the job against Northwestern. This will probably be such a blood and guts struggle that 40 hours will not be sufficient for eit...

Says which??
Oh my goodness--not to start a spite bout or anything but you are boxed out of your mind if you think any of what you predict will come to pass this Friday. Northwestern is in their postseason locomotive-barreling-down-the-track mode. Florida's "Natty" this year was making the Final Four b...

Cordingley was part of the reason the Terps lost
The fact that she was face guarded only proves my point. If she was the stud the Maryland hype machine made her out to be, she would have found a way around the face guard. Izzy Scane gets face guarded often, I'm sure. I attended a game at Boston College one year when Navy face guarded Sam Apuzzo. S...

Re: How are the mighty fallen
Once mighty Maryland vs ranked teams since their last national championship in 2019. (2020 through 2024) 4-10 vs Top 5 9-14 vs Top 10 28-24 vs Ranked teams overall. If you want a real eye opener (I don't feel like crunching the numbers) go back and look at their record vs. ranked teams from 2015 th...

Re: University of Maryland Terrapins
The thing about woman’s lacrosse is that to me only the championship makes a successful season. For a certain few teams--absolutely. Only a national championship ultimately makes a successful season for these teams--Boston College, North Carolina, Maryland, Northwestern... I don't know who else get...
