Re: Pinball
I was never as good as my older brother. Still a lot of fun playing. Do you remember the names of any machines you played by any chance, Brooklyn? Names? Not at all. All I remember is one time I was so d@mn frustrated at not getting enough points that I slapped the machine and it produced a monkey ...

Re: Growing Older
I’m up with the birds. My days of staying up late are long gone. I hate going to work the next day feeling like dog meat. That’s where some of the wisdom has seeped in. I think there’s even something in Ecclesiastes about waking up with the birds as a sign of age. Thank you for all the great insights.

Re: Pinball
In my youth I was good at quoits and bean bag (now called cornhole). Was decent at horseshoes and deck shuffleboard. But for the life of me was always frustrated like hell at pinball. I wasn't that bad a player. It's just that some of my buddies were absolute killers in the game and they could beat...

Re: Pinball
My older brother and I used to walk to the Northshore Mall in Peabody and play this machine for hours. I remember 18,000 was an outstanding first ball, but getting an extra game/hitting the "special" was tough. Great machine though. Lots of things to shoot for. https://www.ipdb.org/images/...

Growing Older
My first realization about aging came when I started to notice something Billy Crystal mentioned in a standup routine once--he said as he grew older he started noticing hair growing in odd places, like out of his ears. When I started to see that happen in my early 50's, it registered. I'm pretty act...

Re: WLax Broadcasts and Publications: Comments/Reviews
Back in March, then standout Florida defender Cara Trombetta sat down with Sam Croston for a very interesting interview. Trombetta is a breath of fresh air and her responses are anything but "canned". She even uses the dreaded "choke" word to describe herself and her team in the ...

Re: Transfer Portal
Sam Geiersbach from Richmond is also transferring to UNC. I'll take the heat...Dumb choice. Graduate programs? Yeah, they only have those at UNC...and they just happened to be in this season's Final Four. Yeah, 2 NCs in 25 years. That's as alluring as the Song of the Sirens! RUN!! I'm confused Larr...

Re: Transfer Portal
Yeah, 2 NCs in 25 years. That's as alluring as the Song of the Sirens! RUN!! Or 2 in the last 8 and 5 straight ACC championships in the undisputed toughest conference in the NCAA. The Tar Heels are still a going concern. Still a serious threat to win next years Tourney along with 2 or 3 other teams.

Re: Looking Forward to 2022
I couldn’t care less about D2 D3. How could I? I’ve never seen either. Even if I could, I have more than enough just following women’s D1. I don’t care about men’s lacrosse either because again, there is more than enough in women’s D1 to intrigue, entertain and keep busy with. Even in D1, I only kn...

Re: Will 2022 have some of the best teams EVER?!?
...next year may produce some of the best teams ever assembled. BC, National Champs (luv writing that)- returns their core players, while adding the #1 and #4 incoming recruits. I would say BC has the best chance of all these teams to be one of the best ever. They are returning many key players and...

https://dailynorthwestern.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/IMG_2621-900x600.jpg Attacker Dylan Amonte will begin her junior year in 2022 for the Wildcats. With some seniors moving on, I'm guessing she'll get more time on the field. She showed flashes of brilliance last season in relation to the slaps...

Re: Looking Forward to 2022
ANYWAY The article in USA Lacrosse magazine regarding equal TV time for women's lacrosse is good news. It means that next years coverage will be better than ever. I'm glad we have bulldogs in the sport who won't let this issue go: “'The thing that initially stuck out to me when the schedules were an...

That's a crap excuse How so? As I said I understand how I see this thing and how others don't. I just try to never disrespect a talented player from any Division. There are very talented players who choose their school based on a lot of factors...or just a few. Again, I respect that and I try to sh...
