Re: Duke
What an absolute disgrace. They will get a nice serving of humble pie. it's coming. Quickly losing all respect for this program.

Re: 2022 Rankings - D1 Women
if this was an attempt to be some what objective about the rankings..yikes. Sometimes just plugging numbers into a computer is not the best idea when it comes to more nuanced things.

Re: Stanford v. Syracuse 2/11/22
Syracuse has ALOT of work to do. if this was UNC or BC they lose this game by 5+ goals. They have elite talent but i can see better teams hurting them in ways stanford failed to do. Stanford had wide open cutters routinely in front of the net but failed to make those passes..often ending in turnover...

Re: Miscellaneous questions, thoughts, impressions, etc.
Only time I’ve watched a full game with her playing was in the BIG10 tourney vs Hopkins. She was the best player for PSU that day and the best midfielder from both teams (arguably best player on the field that night too). She definitely worked harder than most people. Good player, hard worker, but ...

Re: Atlantic Coast Conference
Clemson has a top five (maybe top 3) recruiting class with the 2023 recruiting group. They beat out Maryland, Syracuse, Duke, UVA, amongst many others for some top recruits. There are also some talented girls I know that are talking about taking their fifth year there. They are going to be good pre...

Re: Duke
Teams that want to play tough schedules manage to do so. There's no way that this is the best Duke could put together. It's laughable. They know they won't win many games in the ACC so they've scheduled a bunch of wins to make their record look better when NCAA selections come around . Yep They'll ...

Gosh, there's another Hasselbeck: https://www.usalaxmagazine.com/usa-insider/usa-lacrosse/from-nashville-to-sparks-a-team-usa-dream-for-grace-hasselbeck That was my reaction when i found out there was another Humphrey sister (who is a force). Grace might end up being the best of the Hassebecks if t...

Re: Preseason Top 20
I think the poll is pretty spot on. SU and NW can swap being #3 and #4 either way all pretty close. Do we think that BC will actually be better this year than last? on paper, yes..but there was something magical about that run last year and the hunger they had. What key players did they lose from la...

Re: Syracuse
i watched both cuse games vs UNC last year. The way UNC toyed with cuse was hard to watch. There is a sizeable gap in talent. and this UNC team is pretty much the same as last year. Post season it might be closer but regular season UNC and BC are a step above.

Re: Syracuse releases 2022 schedule
FHOINb4WUAQZ9FH.jpeg I'll never be sold on stanford until they prove to me otherwise. They have a terrible record against top 10 teams. alot of talent, zero coaching. I really like cuse to win that game by 4+ goals. After that i can see 3 or 4 loses just because it'll take time for the coaching tra...

Re: Stanford
Stanford has been really disappointing considering all the talent they bring in. They've had a number 1 class 2 or 3 times in the past 10 years or so with nothing to show for it. They'll be a perennial top 20 team every year but they need to make major strides to be up there with the true elites.

Re: Miscellaneous questions, thoughts, impressions, etc.
https://twitter.com/CoachQ88/status/1455565143887155202 I’ve really enjoyed how in wlax teams don’t poach each other’s committed recruits. Guess the young coaches really want the madness that comes without honoring commitments and trying to flip kids. This is a sad day for wlax. At least we still b...

Re: Duke 2022
Where would you rank this team nationally preseason? Might be the most talented roster in the country but UVA, UNC, and CUSE won't be pushovers. Losing sowers will hurt. Gotta say though, looking at the roster the depth is still not great.

Re: College Predictions For IL Young Guns Top 10 For 2023?
So Duke lands Millon and has an insane recruiting class with 4 of the top 10 players. 3 of the # 1 ranked player in the past 4 classes. They gotta capitalize and win a ship with this class in the next 3 years or they may lose momentum with top recruits

Re: Transfer Portal
Senior attacker Erin Bakes from USC is transferring to Georgetown in Spring 2022. Interesting! I wondered where she was going after I saw that she wasn’t on USC’s 2022 roster. Any idea why she is transferring in the spring? In her own announcement she said she’s graduating a semester early from USC...

Re: Could 'Operation Varsity Blues' type bribery or big time recruiting violations happen in women's lacrosse?
There are definitely small violations here and there that happen and are routinely overlooked but i wouldn't say it's wide spread or nefarious. clever manipulations of the scholarship allotments, and other stuff dealing with grades as other posters have suggested are examples. These are super easy t...

Re: Beef with the polls
Hoeg's vision cannot be replaced. so obviously UNC will have to compensate for that in other ways. Wurzburger does not have the vision of Katie Hoeg. Then again, how many players do? However, Wurzburger is much quicker and shiftier than Hoeg. she can utilize that to her advantage and be effective in...

Re: Beef with the polls
BC will and should be #1 because they are the champs. I still think UNC was the best team and would win that matchup in a 7 game series but BC had all the ingredients to beat a team like UNC. a hot streak + untapped raw talent. It all came together nicely. This BC team will be better than last year'...

Re: North Carolina 2022
I really like this team. Not too worried about the guys that left. The depth last year was undeniable and plenty of young guys saw the field and played big minutes. Freshman Paul Barton is an absolute beast..keep an eye out for him. Reminds me a lot of Will Bowen..but stronger
