Re: 2022 Women’s Lacrosse World Championship

...Maybe I'm imagining it, but the level of play from the other teams -- other than the US, Canada and Australia -- seems higher and better this go-round. Undeniably. Czech, China, Italy, Mexico... and the list goes on. But as mentioned earlier. I think this may have a lot to do with more internati...

Re: Conference Realignments

I posted earlier on the thread about SDSU and UC Davis's move to the Pac-12 but now official announcements have been made: UCLA and USC have been accepted into the Big Ten Conference and will begin conference play in 2024. While these moves are often made with "revenue sports" in mind, I ...

Re: 2022 Women’s Lacrosse World Championship

IMO she's always been better than Cummings. Total package and it was her who ushered in this new era of women's lacrosse. I am not trying to start a pissing match here. Honestly. I am really interested in why you think KT was the total package and TC was not? Or perhaps the better total package? I ...

Re: 2022 Women’s Lacrosse World Championship

Dana Dobbie is unbelievable!! I was completely blown away the first couple of times I saw her play. The Great One? The best? She better be in that discussion. She was the best player out there if you ask me. Circle players need to be better to beat the US. Her instincts and hand quickness are unrea...

Re: Recruiting

With all the talk on here about how misleading IL's recruiting rankings are, I decided to look at the old lists and see just how true it was. Looked at 2017 first, since almost every player in it is done. Broke it down into the categories of multi-time All American, AA, All-Conference, multi-year s...

Re: Transfer Portal

The whole Schettig situation just smells like an eventual transfer.. ND is not good. and something tells me she'll be bound for one of the top for by the end of next year.

Re: Coaching Carousel 2022-2023

Curious as to why no program has poached UNC assistant coach Phil Barnes yet. Probably the best in the game IMO, and an ace recruiter, well respected in the lax community, a player's coach through and through, and he's helped Levy build that program. He's also been a headcoach before. He has all the...

Re: Transfer Portal

Emma Tilson of Maryland to Clemson. Maryland players that play seem to love it but recently there’s been a lot of transferring out for players that aren’t playing. Probably a consequence of the transfer portal becoming more popular. UNC is seeing that alot this year as well. This will become the no...

Re: Recruiting

As a BC fan, I found it interesting that you think that their upcoming recruiting class is stronger than Maryland’s. If you go by Inside Lacrosse’s rankings, Maryland is bringing in the top recruit (Edmondson), as well as numbers 5,6, and 17. For BC, they’re bringing in numbers 4,7,12, and 18. I lo...

Re: Recruiting

Do you mean Summer Agostino? Did she enter the portal? Duh yes Agostino! I edited that ^ Is she in the portal. She was their #1 recruit. I guess I expected to see more of her . She played a bit, but not much, which surprised me. I have seen nothing to suggest she is in the portal. We saw less of An...

Recruiting

For as often as recruiting is dicussed in other threads, i thought it deserved it's own. I'll start by discussing the Class of 2022. Recruitment is basically over and alot of the commits are preparing to head to campus. Top player in the class is Kori Edmondson, a speedy do it all attacker headed to...

Re: Transfer Portal

Good for clemson with the Lamparter pickup. They are quietly assembling a nice team. still torn on how they'll do. Being in the ACC and being thrown into the fire is good and bad. I see them on a level of a team like louisville. Will beat mid teams but struggle against the top.

Re: 2022 Women’s Lacrosse World Championship

i looked at team canada's roster and they have some solid players. a few very good players, a bunch of good players, no one elite. They'll probably give USA the toughest game. Team USA is basically an all-star team full of elite superstars. USA could field another 5 teams and they'll all finish 1-5....

Re: Rookie of the Year

Big Rachel Clark fan as well. Easily the most talented player UVA has. but i don't see her winning it because her team was pretty bad. I see Humphrey as the front runner, LoPinto second, Brooklyn Walker-Welch third. Humphrey has insane vision. she reminds me alot of Katie Hoeg with her passing abili...

Re: 2022--The Season in Review

Overall, a good year for the Eagles... Good?! Yes— I considered using the word great but then I thought the three losses to North Carolina were very disappointing. What word would you use? To be fair, BC was very good and on a different year they win the championship. They just happened to face a h...
