Re: Recruiting
Watched a little of the game suggested, saw her shoot from the hip North style, reaching past her defender waist high and putting a ton of mustard on the shot...yes, it went in. My question is, why has it taken so long for girls to realize they can shoot like this? This is about leverage and torque...

blast from the past, very interesting. I wasn't able to find the full list of player rankings for years pre 2013. But really paints the picture of who the under achievers are

7 of the 18 World Cup players aren’t playing AU: Hogan, Parros, Mercer, Treanor, Ohlmiller, Cummings, and Hendrick. Liz Hogan just retired I believe, Cummings and Treanor have personal commitments. Ohlmiller is injured. Mercer and Hendrick did not play last year either. Not sure about Parros, if th...

Re: 2022 Women’s Lacrosse World Championship
I heard at some point during the recent World Cup that only six of the 18 players from 2017 returned to the team in 2022. That surprised me, but looking at the list, it seems to be correct. I wonder how many of the 2022s will return in 2026? At this point, I can see perhaps half a dozen not returni...

Re: Transfer Portal
Clemson just announced on Instagram they have a total of 19 transfers joining their inaugural team this upcoming year https://clemsontigers.com/clemson-lacrosse-welcomes-19-transfers-to-inaugural-roster/ That’s a multi(sports)cultural challenge. While this should be applauded, this team will still ...

Re: 2022 Women’s Lacrosse World Championship
17-2 final. Yawn. As predicted easy run to finals where they will beat....whoever by 10. Question - how does this help them get into olympics when it seems like there is no world competition. Even if they change format? I hate to say it, but top 5 D1 teams would likely be second in this tourney I t...

Re: 2022 Women’s Lacrosse World Championship
If i hear the Male commentator mention the no shot clock rule again i'm gonna pull my hair out. a few times is understandable for some potential new viewers but 10 times per quarter is a bit much.

Re: Recruiting
They already assign stars. Usually the top 25 recruits or so are 5 stars. Yes it's true that the difference between #14 and #15 is negligible. But with that said, you have to look at it as a whole. The top 5-7 are usually a level above the remaining players ranked. This is true in every sport. Those...

Anyone else noticing that Decommitments are becoming more rare in womens lacrosse? Major ones were always rare compared to the Men and other sports but these days they are almost non existent. Ever since the Wurzburger bombshell it's been quiet.

Re: Recruiting
Maryland with a super late addition to their 2022 class with G Carly Peterson who i've never heard of. Upon further research turns out MD flipped her from Colgate. I guess after the Lamparter transfer Reese got a bit desperate for a goalie and wanted one for her 2022 class. Makes sense because they ...

Re: 2022 Women’s Lacrosse World Championship
North played much better tonight. None of the ball hogging one on one from the Canada game. She worked to get open down low and her teammates found her. She is an excellent finisher when she plays like this. That’s the way the game is supposed to be played. McCool again tonight, as she was against ...

Re: Transfer Portal
Stanford had a class last year that was far better than Clemson’s and have a much easier schedule and they still got beat by Richmond. C Carolina still brought in the best player in the '23 class. The second best player went to Maryland. Possibly the third best player went to Stanford. Clemson's cl...

Re: Transfer Portal
Clemson had an excellent 23 class in the state of Maryland. Arguably the best of any school. They beat out The Terps for the Byrne twins. Clemson is going to be a factor in a couple of years The best player in their class is Shurtleff. She is a dynamic player with a great work ethic. The Terps only...

Re: 2022 Women’s Lacrosse World Championship
Nice, pretty complete thumping of the Australians last night by England, 12-4. In a game without a shot clock, having Whittle and Nalls on the circle is a nice advantage. Maybe I'm imagining it, but the level of play from the other teams -- other than the US, Canada and Australia -- seems higher an...

Re: Transfer Portal
No one is talking about it but Clemson has some very nice pickups in this transfer window. This tells me Clemson is an attractive destination and they'll be competitve fast.
