Re: Stanford Player Gets Red Card for Hit
The school or conference should suspend this player. She may have regrated her actions, but she still acted! Use her as an example and set a good precedent so this doesn't happen again in a game. Do we really need to wait until someone is seriously injured?

Re: Mental Health, Abuse and reporting in Women's Lacrosse
A lot of college sports players have anxiety and panic attacks because of the constant pressure they feel. Most of them are young and don't even talk about it with anyone because they perceive it as a weakness. We should encourage them to talk to professionals who can help them with this. I'd like t...

Re: New Programs
I just can't go by the thought that "more is better". Are there enough quality individuals who are lacrosse coaches currently out there to fill the existing rolls? There are all sorts of posts on FanLax suggesting that a number of current coaches and assistant coaches are not very strong. ...

Re: Games Today
Does anyone know what has happened to Vandy? They've never been great but losing 26-3 to JHU... I dunno, what does “great” mean? They did make a final four about 12 years ago and about 10 years ago had a topped ranked recruiting class (under former coach). Made the NCAA’s a couple of seasons ago an...

The more I see of this rule, the less I like it.

Today's game is scheduled to be played outdoors at the Newton Campus field. Question, are fans allowed to attend the games that are held in Fish Field House?

Re: Polls
2024 is the year of the graduate student. Just look at Denver's roster, the starters ages may all be over 24(I may have to really look at those ages). I don't like the rule allowing all the addition year of eligibility, but coaches need to keep or get the most talent on their teams. There should be...

Re: Games Today
Surprised no one has mentioned Isabella Peterson's red card at the game against Towson last night. She'll be out against Albany, will be a test for the JMU offensive unit. Albany could take this one. I was watching. Looked like a frustration foul after getting back checked. That will definitely hur...

So that will leave the AAC with only 5 teams, they will have to pick up a team in order to keep their automatic bid to the NCAA's. How long does a conference have to add an additional team after they lose teams in order to maintain the automatic bid to the NCAA's?

Re: Stanford Player Gets Red Card for Hit
Seems to me that this choice was way, way outside the bounds of both safety and sportsmanship. I don't think the excuse of being a freshman in college is remotely correct. Players at this level have played many years of highly competitive sports, adrenaline high, winning and losing, physical play, ...

Re: Stanford Player Gets Red Card for Hit
18-19 year old kid makes a mistake. Not exactly uncommon. Will have to sit out a game and you can see on film one of the senior players clearly talking to her after the incident. She let her team down and I am sure she knows it. Plenty of punishment for a freshman IMHO. Clearly a very talented play...

Re: Games Today
Interesting stat for the JMU-UConn game today. Fouls in the second half were 20 for JMU and 2 for UConn. Hmmm. Credit to UConn for making the second half comeback but….. These green cards are fn painful. Essentially eliminated any sort of ride between the 30s. They've got to fix this. I completely ...

Looks like to me, by looking at the ball position, that the whistle has been blown to start the faceoff in the photos. Prior to the whistle being blown your hands are not allowed to be touching the plastic part of the head. (I think)

Re: 540+ Women's Games to Air on ESPN Platforms During 2024 Season
There are pluses and minuses to all of these games on ESPN platform. I love having the opportunity to click on YouTube and watch some of my daughters games from her days at Vanderbilt. They even had three cameras at some of the contests and camera angles were solid, along with some replays. The ESPN...

When was the last time a division 1 team scored 30 points in a game? With the running clock going into affect as soon as you are up by 10 goals, it is hard to pile up that many goals into a game.

Re: What’s going on at Furman?
Furman is a very nice, regional school, offers a rigorous academic program and has a beautiful campus. That being said, the current President of the school is not a fan of intercollegiate athletics and word is that she has mentioned in the past that she wants to eliminate athletics at the school. S...
