Re: Best NCAA D3 Men’s Lacrosse Colleges
The biggest revelation from this website is that prestigious, elite colleges are offering lacrosse players tuition that is similar or even lower than state supported colleges and universities.....examples being MIT ($18.3K), Colby ($18.6K), Williams ($21.2K), Bowdoin ($21.3K), and Swarthmore ($21.1K...

Re: NCAC 2022
OWU schedule so far, based on other teams posting....some great home games....Centre (beat Denison in NCAAs), RIT, Wittenberg, Denison and Kenyon. Also have FIVE games with teams in US Lacrosse Pre-season Top 20....#2 RIT, #14 Illinois Wesleyan, #16 Centre, #17 Denison, and #18 John Carroll...pretty...

Re: Early Rankings 2022
How are Illinois Wesleyan and OWU even on these lists? What am I missing? They would both lose to just about every NESCAC team... Hmm....don't think so....OWU plays a tough schedule every year and has a 5-5 record against RIT and beat Salisbury as recently as 2018. For the record, they haven't play...

Re: NCAC 2022
My point is that both Denison and OWU have winning traditions that transcend who the coach is. OWU hasn't had a losing season since 1971 (asterisk on their 2-3 record in 2020) and they are second to Salisbury in most NCAA tournament appearances (29). OWU has had a string of great coaches including ...

Re: NCAC 2022
I don't pretend to know the Stopak inside story, but he's from Ohio, he saw limited playing time for the Pride, and the Coach's son was going for the scoring record on attack. Doesn't seem that strange to me.

Re: NCAC 2022
Let us not forget that Mike Caravana left Denison in 2005 for the job security provided by a prep school (Woodbury Forest) after fourteen seasons in Granville, and his replacement, Matt McGinnis stayed just three seasons. While Caravana left this year after 28 total seasons, his departure was a surp...

Re: NCAC 2021
I'm a big supporter of OWU and I like Mike Plantholt a lot. The Bishops job is better than many others in D3, but he certainly should go after a job like Amherst if he feels that it is right for his family and himself.

Re: NCAC 2022
So....new coach at Denison. It appears Planholt is staying at OWU. Kenyon got to the NCAC final and placed more players on the All-NCAC squad than anyone else. Oberlin and Wabash have new coaches. Allegheny will have another season under their belt....what does the Post-COVID NCAC look like?

Re: 2021 Coaching Carousel
Grant Zimmerman has to be a 'top three' choice at Denison, based on his relationships with the school. Seems to be the right age and pedigree for the job. This article from 2013 might also provide some names of coaches that have a deep connection to the school. https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article...

Re: NCAC 2021
Congratulations to Kenyon. They had a remarkable season by any standard. Kenyon had a number of games cancelled due to Covid protocol when a spike occurred on campus. It was unfortunate, and regardless of what the outcome would have been in these games, I'm sure the players on both teams would have...

Re: NCAC 2021
Nosey....agree that that split division format was a disaster and it carries over to this year's All-NCAC team, where nine members of the Kenyon squad make the team. I can think of another five Denison players and four Bishops who would have easily made these teams in the past. The silver lining is ...

Why did D3 tournament got lowered to 31 teams from 36? Fewer teams playing due to COVID? In D1, Ivys didn't compete this year, but D1 tournament stays at 16 teams...Why no reduction?

Re: NCAC 2021
Denison beats Kenyon 12-10. Score sounds closer than the game actually was, following an early 4-4 tie. Denison was up by five with 9 minutes to go, and Kenyon made a late three -goal run. Kenyon goalie Dave Metzger was the star of the game --- outstanding with 19 saves, many at point-blank range. T...
