Re: Johns Hopkins 2023
It’s not a movement offense it’s more one on one that Lehigh employed last few years. Why depth was so important. I watched a lot of Lehigh this year because Bart was on the schedule. They were dead when Mule was off and he was hit or miss game to game. Not opining in the future at Hop but if you w...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
Of course the teams that win have talent, but what you initially said was that the current players are not talented enough to do what the coach is asking. Without actually knowing what the coaches are asking its tough to know how absurd that statement is, but its on the scale. Oh totally. Milliman ...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
Just too simple. And time does pass some coaches by. So here's Doc's list of coaches who have had multiple sub-Final Four years of late, yet have made Final Fours when they have the roster. Desko, Petro, Tierney, Tambroni, Toomey, Nadelen, Corrigan, Marr. Don't you think that it's just a tad absurd...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
I disagree when anyone who says that the players we have are not good enough to score goals and win the games that Hopkins “should win.” You do not need to be able to beat your man by 5 steps in order to get a defense to rotate. It would be nice, but if you lack that spark, then you need organizati...

I disagree when anyone who says that the players we have are not good enough to score goals and win the games that Hopkins “should win.” Please define what is a game that this team "Should win" right now? Surely you can't be talking about Rutgers which has been playing rather well the las...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
Did not catch the game, so I’ll point that out before someone else does. Based on other posts, it sounds like the offense put up a stinker. I disagree when anyone who says that the players we have are not good enough to score goals and win the games that Hopkins “should win.” You do not need to be a...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
Benching of Epstein does not make sense unless something in practice/film room/classroom/off field took place and, based on what I’ve been told about the young man, he is a model human so that is unlikely. I agree with the poster that we should have been able to beat Michigan without him so it some...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
The players are plenty good enough to win. Navy is the ultimate trap game for JHU, particularly after beating Cuse which, considering Coach’s return, probably felt a little better than it should have given the Orange’s downward trajectory.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
Didn’t get to catch much of the game, but I would say this Hop team does not share much DNA with 07/08 teams which, while ultimately successful, were slow-starting (and happened to have ugly losses (Albany/Hofstra) and were blown out by UVA and Duke in the regular season). Those teams had studs in t...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
Longtime reader, first post. Alum under Petro. 1. Really hope the boys pull it out tonight. No reason we can’t if we win some face offs, make some saves and make their goalie think. Game isn’t that complicated. 2. The goalie looks like a lacrosse player - don’t think we’ve been able to say that sinc...
