Re: MAC 2024

34-1. Classy., a gentleman. An established winner with nothing to prove. What the heck, a starting attack scored his 6th goal with 3:50 left in the 3rd up 23 to 1. Game left like this everyone on the bench should have been playing the entire second half. 20 - 1 at half and you have starters in for ...

Re: ODAC 2024

After watching several ODAC games both live and streamed. Also rewatching a few games. My opinion is W&L has the best overall defense and Lynchburg has the best overall offense. Should be a great ODAC tournament.

Re: ODAC 2024

If Roanoke were to beat W&L on Tuesday and Lynchburg beats Shenendoah on Wednesday, does anyone know how the seeding would work out for the top 3? They each would have beat one another head to head. Trying to read through the tie breaking procedure is not easy if they use the 5 point thing. Ther...

Looked like a cramp. Or the training was trying to break his ankle.

Re: ODAC 2024

LYN @ NOKE. Always a battle. LYN needs Mitchell and Hastings shooting % to improve. Both only 25%. Mitchell particularly off since returning from injury. Need big game(s) from him here on out. Defense looked very good against Randy Mac. The SSDMs have tightened to 4. Sr. #2 Grant Voight ran 2nd lin...

Re: ODAC 2024

I’ve personally acted like a 5 year old child throwing a tantrum about 5th year players. That has been a view of mine from day 1 of the NCAA ruling. I had a conversation w a D3 Coach who spoke with me about t the complexities of coaching a roster that has 5th year players. Frankly it’s a problem th...

Re: 2024 FanLax Forum Poll

I think the USILA does a pretty good job of it. I thought it was interesting that about half of the teams in the top 20 don't have any 5th year covid (Grad Student) players. It will be a big change for some of these teams next year to be without them. 1) Salisbury: 8 Grads 2) Tufts: none 3) RIT: 8 ...

Are you talking about the Jumbos or RPI comeback against Middlebury?
Both were impressive. Tufts looks good and Middlebury maybe be over hyped a little.

Why is CNU still running starting attack and 1st line mids at the end the 4th? Give some time to the guys who need to take over when all the 5th years leave.

Re: Game of the Week; Lynchburg vs Gettysburg

When I heard Toners interview I kinda thought he played up the experience disadvantage as a motivational shtick. He knew his guys and they rose to the occasion. Very impressive shooting in cold, windy conditions.. #17 is excellent pole. Early for everyone including announcers. He was knowledgeable ...

Re: Salisbury 2024

Other items of note; - the last starter to record a point was Jude Brown with 9:04 left in the 3rd quarter when the score was 21-3. As I said in the past, Berkman is going to get what he needs out of a game and get his guys prepared for the next game. [/quote] Actual last starter to score was Brice...

Re: NESCAC

Anybody think Hamilton beats Lynchburg at the Mustang Classic? The Colonials seem on a gradual improvement track. I think Lynchburg is one of the best tier two teams in the country. Tier one this year is the top 4 teams. Don’t know much about Hamilton, but it would be a surprise if they managed to ...

Re: Can a D3 team without grad players win the National Title

Looking at various D3 rosters and the number of 5th year players those teams have is it realistic to think a program without 5th years can win a title. Which teams? There are only a handful of teams that have the talent and experience to win it all and most if not all of them have grad students. CN...
