I have to disagree
Doesn’t the coach saying “ players should play harder”
Must count as an them being accountable!!!

Re: Hobart 2024
Glad I'm not the only one that found the recent podcast disappointing. Coach says how hard they have worked--and I don't doubt that they have; but, if the payoff isn't there then perhaps neither is the talent? Hoping the increase in scholarship allotment with enable the coaches to attract some bett...

Re: Hobart 2024
What a mess So much for guys are going to come out and play 4 full quarters I know there’s been a lot of debate on this site about the coaching. I have a simple question in the 10 + years that Raymond has been the HC how many “quality” wins have they had??? Maybe 5-6??? And that’s generous They are ...

Re: Hobart 2024
UMass was really a must win for this squad They should handle the Bonnie’s but other than that it looks pretty dire. Not making the conference playoffs will make recruiting to Geneva Ben more difficult going forward. We are probably very close to the end of people caring that Hobart was once a great...

Re: Hobart 2024
I really can’t watch this anymore The coaches made no changes as UMass just kept strolling to the goal virtually unimpeded down the right alley It was an embarrassing performance for most of the second half I frankly do not see the great leadership and character Raymond is always talking about I’m s...

Re: Hobart 2024
Albany like many teams was simply better than us I was in the stadium and there was nothing happening the first half Team was as wandering around going through the motions To their credit they came out of halftime much more energized And played a better brand of lacrosse Not great but better Simply ...

Re: Hobart 2024
Hobart is just overmatched again
Too much dodge/redodge with the ball carrier back to the ball and his teammates
Looks like HS play

Re: Hobart 2022
SJU also had Blewitt who was very good in that period .
I’m not sure if it’s who they recruit or how Wray coaches but the SJU kids always have grit
They can reach down a little deeper than most teams

Re: Hobart 2022
Great win, hopefully peaking at the right time!
The Herlihy injury looked bad unfortunately
Holtby picked it up after a few worrying minutes at the start

Re: Hobart 2022
Pre season hype was clearly just that hype. The boys can certainly still make a showing . Let’s see how they handle a physical LIU squad. I like a very physical brand of lacrosse but LIU take it pretty far. The two game ending penalties they had last week we’re cheap, stupid and ugly The guys that c...

Re: Hobart 2022
I knew OBM would know!
I had forgotten that when D 2 CW Post merged with LIU Brooklyn , the Blackbirds were already D1.
Definitely just need to win games at this point

Re: Hobart 2022
I think thee NCAA rule for division changes had a 4 year period of teams being ineligible to compete in NCAA championships. I think conferences can allow teams into their tournaments , if an ineligible team wins the conference championship in an AQ conference then the runner up goes to the NCAA cham...

Re: Hobart 2022
Definitely too much specialization Too much pressure from “travel” programs and kids having to always be on the “A” team. Early recruiting further fostered that trend. All bad for the kids physically and they end up with a much more limited social set as well since they are always with the lax guys,...

Re: Hobart 2022
I thought the statement about the “leadership council “not leading was telling, last podcast he was singing their praises. Good point about all the injuries , I keep reading we upgraded the sports medicine and strength staff , yet we are loaded with injured players. We used to have a lot of leg / an...

Re: Hobart 2022
I’m glad to see Coop still has the passion he had when he was playing. Almost everyone on this thread is on here because we are supporters of Hobart lacrosse . There are a few counterpoints To Coops thoughts that I would offer. First it’s not a long season only 12 games, and by the way that short se...

Re: Hobart 2022
Agree with FL-GO, was not expecting to be worried about a game with Wagner at this point. But the fact is that this team can’t look past anybody. They are simply not good enough by any measure. As I think back on it we’ve had more than our share of struggles with Wagner teams much weaker than the cu...

Re: Hobart 2022
Sorry LG , I’m going with oldbartman on this one , you’ve got to get behind your GK . If Lukas was playing so well , then give him the start. This is D1 lacrosse best guys play on Saturday everyone else watches. If you asked the coaching staff before the game if they would be happy with holding Brya...
