Re: Johns Hopkins 2020

So we wouldn't want Steele Stanwick but we would want Crawley? Ludicrous - Who cares about ties to the school anymore? FYI - the year before Stanwick joined the staff the Hopkins women scored 187 goals and had 92 assists - the next year 247 goals and 103 assists. Yes 3 more games played but 3 games...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020

admin has a strict anti-alumni preference policy. It's against the meritocratic social equity values of the modern Johns Hopkins University to give preference to anyone based on past association with the school. You played here, your wife worked as a nurse saving kids at the hospital, we're not cou...

Probably, but so did the Maryland stall-ball era.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020

Well Cuse doesn’t have a Sowers type player. Maybe with a new goalie starting (hopefully), everyone else wakes up.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020

As an outside observer, it’s astonishing to see Hopkins a shell of its former self. They seem to be bringing in talented kids, but obviously something isn’t working. Barring an unforeseen turnaround, it would seem there’s no chance Petro is back next year. Has the game really passed him by? Agreed....

If you are going to judge a potential HC based on how his team does during the first four games of a rebuilding year at a second-tier school for attracting top players, you will end up with the coach you deserve.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020

I had the pleasure of attending the game today. Clearing is an absolute joke. Too many shots didn’t make it to the goal. Williams is the only consistent scoring threat, but he went into a shooting slump for the majority of the game. All the baskin PT is strange. He’s not really an attack man. Play M...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020

Anecdotally, I’ve seen players injure their knees after blowing up the weight room in the offseason. I saw some footage on insta of Hopkins team meeting, Epstein looked like he got even more jacked up. I wonder if that is connected at all to the injury.

Great to see some big, legal hits this weekend. It’s a new year. That stuff is infectious, building confidence, toughness, and swagger. On to Loyola. Let’s get to 2-0

Hopkins played well enough to win comfortably. A lot of new contributors, which is awesome. I didn’t see a whole lot from TU beside Kobe.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020

Put the starting 3 attackmen on EMO. Put bigger bodies at ssdm. They will need slides, but at least don’t let teams just back them down. Play Zinn a lot on offense and let him run between the lines.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2020

3rd attack needs to be a threat, not solely an “off-ball” player. Teams will have to decide how to match their top two poles on Epstein and Williams. Maybe Murphy takes the spot? Never seen him play, but hear he’s got the flash, meat farms product. I like Forry at midfield, think he plays smart and ...
