Re: Who will win the National Championship?

Well well well...
I guess that's why they play the game.

Interested to see what Berkman's plans are at this point after winning the 13th along with the 600+ wins. Hoping he has many more years!

Congrats to all - Well done!!
Go Gulls!!!

https://i.giphy.com/mediva/80TEu4wOBdPLG/giphy.webp Taking a game prediction that personally... Ha Ha what coincidence "Jumbo" and ah23 chiming in... I don't have a kid on either team either. I'm just handing out about the same amount of respect I see in a 19-11 prediction. Who knows, may...

Playoffs will be much closer
Jumbo, I assume you'll be back to eat a full plate of crow if Salisbury wins this game? I think this will be a good game, but your prediction seems to be fueled by something other than logic.

Re: NESCAC
I think 2022 Tufts just has to replace too much talent lost to graduation and their contemporaries (Salisbury, RIT, etc.) don't have the same problem.
Not true... Salisbury lost their entire close, D 2/3 of their attack, FOY, two of their DM's, most of their 2nd line midfielders in...

Re: Game of the week

I have seen 3 of the top 4 in person and would argue that CNU is better than Salisbury right now I will take that bet - CNU's win over RM 14-12 just doesn't lead me to believe they'll have enough. My guess is that your assessment is based on Gull's 2nd half of the York game. I'd argue Salisbury sim...

Re: Salisbury 2022

InsiderRoll Delusional that you think most of their starters start for top 10 D1 teams. Booyah Insider, I'll stick with my post. Athletes play to the level of competition. D 1 Top 10.; subtract the ACC and the best players from Salisbury, Tufts, RIT and most D 3 first team AA players would be right...

Re: Salisbury 2022

Laxwatch2007 » Wed Mar 02, 2022 6:46 pm I did not see this afternoon’s game against Stevens but looking at the box score I see that only 4 of the Gulls’ 15 goals were “assisted”. Sooner or later, all of this one on one scoring is going to bite them in the ass. TIAM is how their offense thinks. The ...

Re: Game of the week

Salisbury is still a 1v1 team. How many assists were recorded vs Scranton? If G-Burg can handle Ferraro they get a win. The Gulls had 11 assists on 25 goals vs. Scranton. I'd like to see 50%, but considering Farrara had 4 of them, I think they're trending in the right direction (at least after one ...

Re: Salisbury 2022

Laxwatch2007 » Sat Feb 05, 2022 10:39 pm Also I noticed Big Ben is missing from the sidelines. Between playing and coaching he's got to have 300 victories and enough rings that his knuckles drag the turf when he walks. Is he okay? Still coaching somewhere I hope? Leeds is certainly a capable replac...

Re: Salisbury 2022

I'm a Cabrini homer and I legit respect SU and every loss I was a part of and watched to SU (and there were like 12 of those and 2 wins, and lets face it, more losses to come I'm sure), I never walked away and made an excuse. I haven't said anything disrespectful or dismissive inside or outside of ...

Re: Salisbury 2022

Laxwatch2007 » Sat Feb 05, 2022 10:39 pm In watching today’s scrimmage with Penn, I was struck by the differences in the styles of the two offenses. While Salisbury was content to spend most of their possessions with one player trying to dodge through the defense, Penn’s attack/middies quickly and ...

Re: Salisbury 2022

This will be an interesting year... Midfielders: The Gulls bring MOY in Bromwell who was spectacular last year scoring 73 goals & 9 assists while shooting close to 45% . If midfielder Jack Dowd takes the next step after his excellent freshman year, the top line will have two players that are bot...

31 seconds left, recalling some film footage Leeds poached a backdoor pill from Rooney to Butler that Butler would certainly have spun and ripped home sending the game into OT. Three great players; one memorable moment. Yep, I remember Leeds talking about that play in the post-game press conference...

Re: 2022 All-Americans

Having 9/13 spots on the First team slotted to players from 3 schools seems a bit myopic to me. myopic and... lazy... Way too many kids in D3 to truly get it 100% accurate. Crazy that a lot of the kids on the list have been prior AA. Don't like the best teams having the most AA, then beat them. Not...

Re: Salisbury 2022

Who will be the "Go To" guy on the 2022 Gull team? This is a player who'll carry the team on his back, if necessary. His grit and toughness makes everyone else tougher. He gives his teammates that extra something that wins the close ones. Think Bradman/Cannone or Kylor Berkman or Jason Co...

Some big shoes to fill; Malamphy, Apgar, Maroney, Berkowicz, Melton, Greik, Ellis etc. Big shoes indeed and can't forget Kevin Murphy & Pierre Armstrong when discussing that group. I think morale is always high in Salisbury. Don't be surprised if the Gulls come back strong- D Craig Ballard 6'-7...

Re: 2021 Tournament

Ridiculous call by ref in that situation what should they have done? no call? offside? there has to be a call. what's the call? No there doesn't... A "no call" would have been the right move. The refs chose to hang onto their flags plenty of times during the game. The offensive player ran...
